with all due respect to the Rat Race, it's the other cd from the Kritzercombo that I enjoy the most: Men In War has quickly become a favourite, not too far behind Summer & Smoke, Drango or By Love Possessed

Well, we love most Elmer from that period.

I'm completely addicted to this CD. Just thought I'd mention it.

And we appreciate you mentioning it! There's nothing like Elmer in this period. The trombone growls alone are worth the price of the CD.

The Rat Race is now ordered along with Career by Franz Waxman. My backlog of unordered Kritzerland film titles continues to dwindle.

Surprisingly this movie is not available on DVD but I was able to view it with my Amazon Prime account streaming through my Blu Ray player.

I really enjoyed the film and really enjoyed Elmer's score and the performances.

I only recently ordered and received this outstanding, essential Bernstein score. This is simply a great release -- the sound is wonderful -- the score is amazing as one of the high points of Mr. Bernstein's jazzy side -- a rollicking, jazzy, addictive wonder. It hasn't left my player since Monday. Only Mr. Bernstein could produce music like this. This has got to be one of my favorite Bernstein releases ever -- thank you Mr. Haineshisway for this incredible CD.

One of Kritzerland's greatest ever releases, anybody who doesn't have this in their collection is missing out big time!!!

Probably missing essential brain cells as well! I'd say the same about the Intrada CARPETBAGGERS release, and might even throw in K'land's SUMMER AND SMOKE. We Bernstein-lovers have been in high cotton lately, no question about it!

Might even throw in K'land's SUMMER & SMOKE?! Dana, don't make me start wondering about your own brain cells! It's one of Elmer's greatest achievements and Kritzerland's CD is perfection. (Am I missing the point of that winkie, I wonder?)

Just being my usual understated self... The winkie was for the "might" and yes, SUMMER rates very highly with me. Kritzerland would have won my undying gratitude for this one alone, even had it not also put out all the other incredible (and incredible sounding) film scores...

Clearly Elmer's label of choice is easy to spot

There are a number of pre-2011 Elmer titles on that label as well. smile
