Was listening to the samples of Die Hard 2 again, which I can't wait to get my hands on, and noticed a motif that appears in Robert Folk's Tremors score. But as both came out in 1990, who wrote it first?
It appears 26 seconds in on the cue John punches Esperanza.

Maybe it is a complete coincidence? Most composers working steadily are not really listening actively to everything else composed, as the fan base does.
My order still says 'pending' on Paypal's site. Is that the case for anyone else? Does Varese wait to capture the funds until right before the order ships?

Yes, it's normal. As soon as the order will be shipped, the payment will be accepted by Varese.

Yep mine is still pending on the PayPal site, too.
Oddly, my order doesn't appear on the Varese site AT ALL - not as pending, nothing. I do have the confirmation from Varese when ordered. Guess once it ships it may show up on my orders page at Varese.

My god this score is draw droppingly fantastic. The wealth of action material is incredible. Surprised of how much of the first score is reworked though. No complaint because the recording is much more crisp and dynamic then the first film. After hearing this I don't think I will need to go back to the first score when I feel the need to get my Die Hard on!
I'm listening to this score right now for the first time ever (I haven't even seen the movie). The sound quality is amazing and the score even more so. The music is so illustrative that I've been having fun imagining what might be happening on screen during each cue. Kamen really went balls-to-the-wall on this one.

Watch the movie! It is just as good as Die Hard in my opinion.
