Well, it's October, so I decided to kick off the Halloween season with the score that, for me, gives off the feeling of this time of year better than any other.

I couldn't agree more. Definitely the album of the fall season for me!
Continuing to explore my 200cd changer which was dormant for a while. (Cats unplugging plugs, film at 11) I really am not sure what all is in the changer. I know some of the discs, like the 5 Disney Classics cds, Silvas 2cd Barry Zulu set and several other Silva compilations, at least 2 Cinci Pops cds, The Alamo which was listened to a few nights back, etc....but ..lotsa music to rediscover.
One of Howard's most charming scores. Too bad it became temp-track ground zero for "heartwarming" comedy scores by the derivative likes of John Debney and Joel McNeely for the remainder of the 90's.
Vintage Basil Poledouris, and surprisingly light on electronics considering the 80's era.
60's Elmer Bernstein Western. 'Nuff said.
I just wish it were longer...there are plenty of cues I would have liked to have on this collection. Plus, no dialogue excerpts on a Tarantino soundtrack?
