So, it's the same edition... The MP3 version? Yeah I suppose it is. I assume the 2-disc set will have more music. I don't think so because there was never any mention of extra content. It will most likely be identical to the download, just on CD.

And after 2, 3 listenings, for my part I definately don't need more of the same.

I know we're talking about the soundtrack here, but I wanted to say something quickly about the length of the movie... It's very drawn out, like Blade Runner: The Final Cut is. If you have seen that movie and love it, then you will love the pacing of this as well. I was actually deeply engaged and on the edge of my seat the entire movie. Others are really bored with it. I saw some people leave the movie early, and others commented after it was over about how long it was. If you haven't seen it yet, be prepared to have stunning extended visual scenes that add depth to the world, which should give you an understanding behind some of the thought processes of the characters. Don't let the length ruin it for you like it did for Leonard Maltin. He actually really doesn't like the original Blade Runner either. It's a great movie. SOAK IT IN. I agree completely on this point - it's been a long, stressful week, I was on the fence about racing from work early to be in a theater for 5 hours, but...it was WELL worth it. The 2 films complement each other nicely, and I literally faded into my seat for the duration. Too funny the new BR may share the same, misunderstood fate as its predecessor! I hope it doesn't - the pace & overall mood is refreshing to the usual bombardment we get now. And actually a story I enjoyed, another change of pace! -Sean

Comments on the score from another score board: "Blade Runner 2049 - Wallfisch/Zimmer Not doubting that it works a treat in the film but as a standalone listen this comes across as mind-numbingly dull. What a savage disappointment - shapeless, themeless, simplistic ambient textures for the most part. Can't imagine ever listening to this again (other than as a cure for insomnia)."

I've seen the film which frankly I thought a colossal bore and not in any way comparable to the original BLADE RUNNER which was brilliant. As for the "music"! I don't think I've ever heard a more ghastly score which was painful to hear and too intrusive.

To think, when certain people were once again decrying "But you haven't even heard it yet!", turns out the best part of the score was that we hadn't heard it yet!
