All of you who get a chance to go through used bins need to count yourselves lucky ! I used to love to spend time looking in the used bins. My town of about 80,000 does not even have a CD store anymore. The closest I can get to buying a physical CD in person is Best Buy or Wal Mart. Needless to say, I have to order anything I want. I spend some of my free time going to used music stores, thrift shops, junk stores. At one time the only place to find used vinyl recordings was at junk stores as there was very little interest in reselling used good anywhere else. Finding good used vinyl recordings is more or less a thing of the past. These days I come across a used CD or two from time to time.

I still like to brag about finding a mint vinyl pressing of "The Wild Side Of Henry Mancini" in a junk store bin for 50 cents a little over 20 years ago. The recording is a radio station promo release of the "Touch Of Evil" score pressed in a limited edition of 1000 copies in 1961. Another time I unearthed a box of vinyl soundtracks in a basement and paid roughly $1.30 each. Found "The 7th Voyage Of Sinbad", "The Roots Of Heaven", and about two dozen more none of which come to mind at this moment as I'm thinking through the sixth or seventh day of a cold that's leaving me foggy headed.

I picked up Zimmer's POWER OF ONE score today for 2 quid in a music exchange shop. It's in pretty good nick, and I vaguely recall it being a hot item (don't know if it still is). I hope it's a good listen. yes a good nick. I traded two $$ cd's for a copy! warning: do not watch the film under any circumstance. just enjoy the great African sounds on the cd!

Mancini's "Gunn: Number One" for $10. Yeah, I picked it up to resell, but I'm gonna keep it. (Bruce) I put GUNN up on the trading post for sale to see if it had any cache. not a single bid glad you like it enought to keep I thought the Mancini RCA Sp. discs were collectible but it doen't seem that they are much desired I did a search for Gunn, to guage the price, but didn't find any copies. I think it's a good score. I'm also surprised those RCA import CDs aren't more popular. I tried selling Mancini's Cop Show Themes CD on ebay a coupla years ago, couldn't get any takers. Greg Espinoza greg, wann abuy my TWO FOR THE ROAD/ sell at cost

And at the same time found the Delos LP of "The Adventures Of Robin Hood" with Basil Rathbone narrating... 50 cents US currency.

Unbelievable. Incredible. Once-in-a-lifetime find. I'm still shaking....... I just returned from finding a sealed copy of The Legend of Bagger Vance for $3.95 at Rasputins. I've found a lot of great stuff at used CD shops but never anything like this. I would love to know where it's been hiding before it found that shelf.
