Hi Gang - hope everyone loves the new Insurrection CD from Crescendo. Just a heads up to KEEP your original CD for the album program, and the few album edits/takes that are unique to that disc—it's still in print and sounds great, which is why the new disc is a 1 (and not 2) disc set. The new album is a unique program of the score as heard in the film, plus some extras.

I've always tossed my original albums for the film scores once they got complete releases. Well except for when Giacchino's Trek got an expanded release...
Anyways I'm definitely looking forward to Insurrection's release.
With what you said Lukas I MAY keep the OST for Insurrection, depending on when I do a good comparison of the two.

Thanks for the heads up, good sir.
And thanks for the work you've been putting into your Star Trek score releases. The Trek II and III scores got all these complete releases started, and are among my favorite CDs.
Hoping Nemesis gets the royal treatment someday, too.

Thanks!! Very glad to be wrong (late) in my predictions of release date, even better than I thought! Release one day before my birthday! Can't wait to see the notes/tracklist.

Some good news!
Thanks for the heads up. I keep all of the original Trek albums anyway. Maybe I will take a two CD jewel case and put both CDs in one.

I hope so too, I have all the others thus far. While I'm happy it will be only a 1 disc release, the description of "unique program" is a little worrying. I expect there will be complaints about "score as heard" vs "what was recorded"
Btw for curiosity's sake, how complete is the expanded program? Plus, as with previous ST releases will TrekCore be doing articles leading up to it?
I was kinda hoping for a definitive 2 discer with the remastered album on disc 2 - for consistency's sake as much as anything. The presentation of Generations was an absolute blinder. But then I guess the original Generations CD sounded beyond awful and Insurrection isn't *that* bad.
We had to keep our old First Contacts too, I guess, for the songs and enhanced content, so no biggie...
Was expecting it to be a one disc release as the original album (along with a thick booklet and nice artwork) is a keeper (same as the First Contact release). Looking forward to a tracklist
