So Amazon US has it as an import, or had it as an import? I don't see it anywhere on Amazon US. If it is currently available for import on Amazon US, could someone provide a link? If it isn't available there, where would be the best place to order it from, as I live in the US? The Germany site? Is that Amazon Germany? Sorry for all the questions, I do not have a lot of experience ordering internationally. Is this CD definitely pressed, and not someone burning a CD-R and trying to pass it off? Thanks! I guess the German Amazon site is the only one where you can order the CD right now: http://www.amazon.de/Carrie-Marco-Beltrami/dp/B00GCWDJ3U/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1383303120&sr=8-2&keywords=Marco+Beltrami+carrie I donĀ“t know whether it is a CD-R - but on the site it says it is distributed via Sony Classics.

Sorry if my post was unclear...I was stating that Amazon US had KON TIKI as an import now, when originally I had to get the CD at Amazon.ca. So far, Amazon US does NOT have the CARRIE CD even as an import (maybe later?). But for now, anyone can order it from Amazon.de. I'm in the US and order from .uk and .fr all the time with no problem. (Just costs more in postage). I have no idea if it is a CDR or not, but KON TIKI was a pressed CD.

UPDATE: I tried ordering the CARRIE CD from Amazon.de and it won't let me order because it says the item cannot be shipped to my address. I never had this problem with .ca .uk or .fr. Don't know if the problem is peculiar to Germany or to this CD. It's possible that since the release date is not until Nov 29, maybe it will allow it after that date (or not). I guess I'll have to be patient and see what happens then. Thanks for the info and updates, RW!

It's same item number. http://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/switch-language/product/B00GCWDJ3U/ref=dp_change_lang?ie=UTF8&language=en_JP

So this film turned out completely forgettable like, the remakes of FRIDAY THE 13TH, HALLOWEEN, THE FOG, BLACK CHRISTMAS... Hollywood never learns. How is it possible to NOT remember Donaggio's score to CARRIE. It's one of the best scores, ever!

Agreed about the remakes, but while Donaggio's score is the better one (IMHO) Beltrami does a better than decent job nonetheless.

I was casting no aspersions on Beltrami's score.

My shipment was delayed to December 19. Fortunately, iTunes Germany finally offered it for download last week. So at least I can listen to it now.

My order seems delayed (I ordered it on Amazon.de). The item is out of stock since its "supposed" release date, on Nov. 29th. I'm afraid this release is about to be canceled.

During the night, I received an email from Amazon.de I didn't speak German since 1993 but I understood that my order is delayed until Dec. 19. At least, it hasn't been canceled ...

This must be THE MOST POINTLESS remake ever! It's actually not that bad, with good performances all round, neat, unfussy direction and decent special FX. BUT, in comparison to DePalma/Donaggio's classic original, it pales in every way. It's mainly scene-for-scene and has the same dialogue, but it worked so much better in the 70's than it does today. The other main problem is, in the original, Spacek was believable as the gawky, plain Carrie (who did blossom later on with the help of make-up etc) but Moretz is already too pretty and attractive to start with, so I never bought into it quite as much (she's arguably much better looking than the rest of the cast from the outset!!). The weak score was really felt (by me) during the final battle between Carrie and her mum. Where Donaggio had that amazing little spooky piano piece running under the attack/stair tumble, all we get here is the usual trademarked sound design, that kills pretty much everything it underscores these days. I didn't catch any Carrie theme by Beltrami, just some piano/keyboard and guitar moments that attempted to be heartfelt. This isn't a slam, I like Beltrami and have hope for him in the future, but this is quite lame and the whole film is stillborn to me.
