Just interesting - is it any difference, if anyone will say that he have no interest in any of 'em today (after reading this spoilers) or tomorrow, after official announcement?

I don't even know what that means.

Varese Club really lost their magic

This is a great way to finish 2013. Thanks to Kritzerland, Quartet, Lalaland, and Intrada. Varese Sarabande has been left in the dust once again. They used to be a great label. The shine has dimmed considerably.

No it hasn't. Just because their aren't any "Golden Age" titles for YOU doesn't mean Varese has suddenly been left in the dust or lost its shine. Varese was and is still a great label. This latest batch proves just that.

Seriously. Just look at the titles. "Runaway" encore edition. Enough said.

You missed two.
Brass Target (Laurence Rosenthal) - first CD release from old Varese LP, probably 1000 copies
Suspect (Michael Kamen) (encore release) - will probably break up into smaller tracks like Tai-Pan

Correct me if I'm wrong but all these titles appear to be Varese properties so is this costing Varese anything? Other than pressing the CDs.

Yes, they have, but now I might be able to get the LETHAL WEAPON box before the Holidays.

I'm perfectly happy to get a more complete Nemesis and am considering Abyss and Vibes as well. Thanks Varese.

I haven't seen Abyss in a good six or seven years; is there a lot of standout cues not on the original album? I've never cared much for the film or the score but sometimes an expansion really changes your mind (Die Hard 2, being a prime example for me).

THE ABYSS interests me. That's it for this batch. Still hoping for more Herrmann in the future. Glad to see the Varese club back.

There's a lot of tension cues that sound awesome that are not present. Also "Sub Battle" is only half of the cue, it'll be nice if it's complete on this edition of the release.

Edit: The Abyss and Star Trek Nemesis I'll get for sure, looking forward to both!

So no Golden/Silver Age scores? There are so much posts that I don't really understand what is going on...

Rosenthal's Brass Target is silver age.

Yes,
Lazy is a way to describe the overall lineup...
Dispite their busy schedule with concerts and mainstream CD titles.

THE ABYSS falls in with SCREAM & MIMIC
I've wanted an expanded version for YEARS, but the film is more of a forgotten gem.
Love Silvestri's only score for Cameron, kudos!!

STAR TREK 10
Inevitable... Depends on how well Varèse expands it.

BRASS TARGET
Thank you!!!!

SUSPECT
Nice Encore!!!

VIBES
Nothing extra... Seems lazy, but it's been forever on this one.
Has some nice cues.

RUNAWAY
This IS a lazy reissue
They could have picked something else IMO
But for those who missed out, rejoice!!!

I agree with your comments Cody. Nothing here of interest to me, not one golden age cd. In recent years I've not bought any Club cds. I guess Varese is marketing what they feel are the best sellers, can't blame them I guess. Oh well ........
