Here's what I've thought so far, but it could very well be wrong:

    Moross, I think, is "more-OSE"

I heard someone introduce his daughter, Susan, at a conference once as "Mo-ROSS".

    Carter Burwell

I've been saying Bur-well, but on the Oscars, I heard it pronounced Burrell.

    Any thoughts?

I've never heard anyone say Burrell.
The Oscars, you say. Probably some idiot illiterate actor who bailed on education.
It's Bur-well to me and it's staying that way smile
I heard someone say Benjamin Vall-fisch on the radio the other week.

It was Christopher Walken, IIRC. I kinda figured I'd been saying it correctly all along, but you never know.

Oh. I love Christopher Walken. He's one of my all time favourite actors, so I'll let him off.
He probably just needed his reading glasses wink
