Ghost in the machine, I think. big grin

I hear nothing in track 11, but track 12 is 16 minutes long. Can you narrow it down a bit?

Mike

I will listen to it again later and narrow it down. Are you listening to it on a good stereo system? Because mine picks up everything even if someone dropped a pin on the recording stage I can hear it,

Even the DVD looks stunning with the fantastic transfer and colors. I watched the widescreen DVD I got from netflix (some 2 sided disc that had both wide and fullscreen versions) and the colors looked wonderful.

Thanks, guys. Earlier I considered responding that I put it up on the studio monitors on which the score was restored, and was that good enough, but then thought, nah, I'll wait and see where the problem is. I am genuinely interested just in case there is a disc with a defect, however.

I've been listening to the FSM version all week. The angry brass and shimmering textures are crystal clear.

Rhino edition? What Rhino edition?

What i don't understand is first of all why put music from The Prize on here when it is nothing related to Poltergeist and second why didn't they include the song by Philip Marshall on the cd like they put 2 songs on the Twilight Zone: The Movie cd? I can't find the song anywhere!

I guess Poltergeist was the best option to include the music for The Prize, because it's from the same composer and the same company (Turner Entertainment) and I think the Philip Marshall song isn't there because of rights issues.

As nice as the bonus is, it seems to me that the CD was plenty long as it was. It'[s not as if they release would have been 85 minutes.

Would I be truly missing out if I just bought the Rhino version? I didn't think the Rhino was THAT bad.

There is no comparison between the Rhino and the FSM. The sound on the Rhino is veiled and dead while that on the FSM is vibrant and breathing.

After owning the LP and the Rhino edition, I can safely vouch that the FSM 2 Cd release is the one to have. The sound, booklet andoverall presentation are all that suffice to justify the purchase of this latest incarnation.

Cheers!
