A few Dances With Wolves covers.

One of them is based on the Blu-ray slip cover, and isn't as high a resolution (a measly 644x644) as I would prefer--I just couldn't find better source material. Still, it came out quite well.

I LOVE THESE, damn these are good, WOW, okay, I'm out of adjectives!! Great job, so gorgeous.

Anyone interested in doing covers for the BABYLON 5 episodic cd's?

BTW, where do you get your source material (images) from?

BTW, where do you get your source material (images) from?

I usually search Google for images larger than 2 megapixels. With exceptions like the blu-ray-based DWW cover, I won't work on something without high-res art. Finding a good piece of art is usually what drives the process.

I currently have a series of Alien covers in the works based on the blu-ray cover artwork for the individual releases. I only have high-res art for the first two films, so the project is currently on hold.

Other assets like logos I recreate in Adobe Illustrator. In some case, like the Star Wars Anthology covers, I couldn't match the typeface, so I redrew the type by hand one character at a time.

(Scans) Covers are quite high res but I lost the files a long time ago...

The X3 ones are from the Japanese Arts, the X2 are more or less custom.

The "Dance with the Wolves" a few posts back are beautiful wink

I'm uncomfortable with the white outline around the logo. I was not able to remove this. frown

Wow that kicks an ungodly amount of ass! Is it available for download??

Indeed, the simplest, the best wink

My X-Men score cover was a cool idea but a little too confusing due to over-imposed images:

... And sorry for the dust !

If you want a worthwhile project, how about a better cover for FSM's 100 RIFLES? I've always thought that's the least attractive of all their CDs, even with Raquel Welch featured.

I'll make a small contribution between all the great stuff I saw in this post. With a nice poster, and with all respect to FSM I made this cover for 100 Rifles smile

Very nice! Though her greasy, ragged hair looks totally at odds with her nicely made-up face.

A handful of alternate covers, including two soundtracks I don't actually own yet.

High-res in their appropriate folders here:

Still looking for a custom Tron: Legacy back insert. Pagemaster65's version doesn't print out at the correct size to fit a jewel case, and the artwork prints out so dark I can barely make out anything. frown

Someone should do an alternate cover for Prometheus' CD "Jerry Goldsmith: The Early Years. Vol.1".

The existing cover is particularly feeble, but at the very least it would benefit from the misleading "Vol.1" being removed – after four years, there's probably more likelihood of Jerry composing a new score than of us seeing a Vol.2.

Are you dragging it into a template before printing? Most templates are designed with a default 300 dpi resolution. Pagemaster's artwork is the actually the correct physical size, but designed at only at 200 dpi so you may want to either change the resolution of any template you may be using. Also, if you're using a professional design/print template, there will be bleed areas built in that aren't factored into Pagemaster's designs.

As for the color, Pagemaster's work is in RGB mode. That's fine for computer monitor display, but it should be changed to CMYK mode before printing.

Hope that helps!

I didn't understand a single word of that. eek

If it's possible, could someone out there print out a copy and snail mail it to me? I'd pay for any neccesary postage.
