I know how painful it is to not yet have the music for which you've dreamed of having for so long. Still, I'm sure there's some music on here you'll enjoy, as there is tons of for me; the more releases we have, the more likely that the music that hasn't yet been released will be. One of the best ways of making sure how great music is from memory to go through the DVD sets, if you have them. Sometimes, I find that, even if the scene is moving, the music might not be. Stick in there, fellow fan!

Geez three reQuests ZERO fullfilments three strikes i'm OUT! BRM And good riddance. If you can't appreciate the significance of having 4 more CDs of unreleased Mark Snow music, you're in the wrong thread. Truth be told we purposefully did not put those tracks on because of his requests. MV

There are lots of pieces in this set that I wanted badly, so I'm thrilled to get it. I can't emphasize enough how happy I am to get this. Even music I wouldn't have thought I'd want I'm sure I'll enjoy and I thoroughly appreciate how collaborative you folks at La La Land are trying to be. However, I hope for many more sets for a couple of reasons -- and I'll have more feedback when I receive and digest the set: Some music is accidentally being reused. Except for a percussive "previously on" segment, "Deep Six" (from the episode "DeadAlive") is note for note exactly the same as "Starspeak" on Volume 1; it's not a variation, but exactly the same in timing and instrumentation. Yet the 1 minute shorter beautiful music from that very episode of Scully asking Doggett about Mulder's condition isn't here. I hope episodes from which music has been released so far haven't been written off because there's TONS of amazing music from these yet to be released. For example, "Talitha Cumi"'s 2 least interesting pieces (based on the titles and timing I know are the teaser and when Mulder talks to X in his childhood summer home backyard) were selected, rather than gorgeous pieces of incredible beauty that are hardly any longer: Mulder finding the stiletto and CSM interrogating Jeremiah Smith. I've seen other fans on these boards say they wanted these pieces. So, please don't shut the door on these episodes. It's a chance to make more money off us, after all. Also, if a piece is used more than once in a 2-parter mythology, it usually means it's the main theme Mark Snow has worked hardest on and is worthiest of inclusion. For example, the incredible melody from the last few minutes of "Redux" that isn't on this set is used repeatedly in that episode, but also a few times in "Redux II". Similarly, "Endgame" (6:39-14:14) that's a percussive variation on the music in "Colony" (25:18-31:50). You folks release so much music for so many albums, so it's hard to have the same obsession as we fans of "The X-Files" do. If there's help we fans can provide in the selection, I'll do it for free.
