Considering LLL liked your Facebook comment also, it does seem like a Tales from the Crypt boxset to me.
True, the 8-disc title probably is Tales from the Crypt. Nevertheless, we know that LLL has stated plans to release music from the DCAU shows like Jusice League, Superman: The Animated Series, and so on. It would be great if at least one of those titles showed up on Black Friday.
Carter is credited on two of the first 65 B:TAS scores:
"Catwalk" "Lock-Up" (with Brian Langsbard)
I strongly suspect "Superman: The Animated Series" and "Justice League".
"Catwalk" and "Lock-Up" weren't in the first 65 though. They were two of the final episodes put out.
Either way, if one (or both) of Carter's sets turns out to be a Black Friday title, I would guess Superman and Justice League as well.
I don't think LLL would release music from two different DCAU sets on the same day, and instead spread these releases out a bit more. Two DCAU sets on the same day would compete against each other and LLL typically has a wide variety of genres/titles in the Black Friday announcements, so 2 out of 4 titles being DCAU doesn't allow that.

When MV was asked if there would be more Shirley Walker animated music this year he was coy about it but did not rule it out recently.
I really am hoping for a at least a first volume of Superman The Animated Series.
It would be nice if La La would give out details behind this 8 disc set a littler earlier though to let people know if they have to prepare their wallets or not.

Well, you have to figure that an 8-disc is going to be on the pricier side of the releases, at least $100+, and therefore will probably not sell out within a few days. I would suspect that no matter how popular the title is, it will be available through Xmas if it's at least a quantity of 3000 produced.

TALES FROM THE CRYPT wow! I'd go for that, that brief sampler from Big Screen Records was never that satisfying.
As cool as all the superhero animation scored are, I've got more titles on my to get list...
Including PET SEMATARY, the high point of that score, for me, was The Return Game... that and ROSEMARY'S BABY which keeps getting pushed to the back-burner with each new CD release from other labels that IMO have greater priority!!

Fair point, that set was cheaper than $100, but I still think that everyone here should just relax and not worry. It might even be a title that not everyone is interested in, therefore it will be around long enough to save money for.

You guys should set money aside for a soundtrack fund like I do for situations just like this.
What have I missed? Where does the "Tales from the Crypt" assumption come from?
I'm not knocking it. It's just taken hold, and I seem to have missed why.
I have no idea if it's coming, but it seems unlikely to me to be a $120 eight disc set. Aside from the "Star Trek" original box, they've doled out these television scores in smaller, cheaper sets. I'm a little dubious that "Tales" has the fan base to justify such an endeavor.

Hi Schiffy!I don't know where the assumption started, but I read it on this board and liked the sound of it. I may be disappointed, but it makes me happy for the time being.
