Free ship, decent site (I ordered from them before, didn't have an issue), insanely good price -- worth a chance!

All I can tell you is I haven't had a problem (I've bought 2 or 3 things there) and plenty of others have bought from them in the past on different sites. They've had their issues obviously, but there's little reason not to try it if you use Paypal in particular -- you can always file a claim if it doesn't arrive. They also give you BuySafe protection with the order as well.

For $40 it's worth it...the prospects of saving $50-$70 (or more depending on where it's being sold) are worth a go.

Well, I took a chance and ordered -- great great price and I've been hankering for this set but couldn't justify the cost in my budget.

Will report on how the order goes.

Thanks, Andy, bunches!

Hmm seeing reports online that the set is actually Region Free. Shame they only ship to USA & Canada.

YW John. Hopefully it won't be a set of coasters in plastic wrap! lol. But it's like anything else -- you have recourse in a worst-case scenario.

I would not have posted had not been the price been so attractive. And also that my personal experience (I've ordered a few items there over the years) from the site was fine -- slow, but everything did arrive.

I went for one - took Andy's advice and paid via PayPal - it's so cheap worth a shot!

I have the same set from Amazon ( when they did a black Friday or xmas lightening deal ) on the box the Region is A and that it also mentioned in this site's listing. So it doesn't appear to be Region free. Good price though.

There must be another discussion here on the Bond 50 Blu-ray boxed set, because I posted a few things there when I quickly ordered it, although it was more than just $38. It's a handsome set, but after having it more than a month I've only watched "Dr. No" and "From Russia With Love" and find myself wondering if I'll ever find the time to watch any of the others. But it certainly LOOKS nice among my other elaborate Blu-ray sets!

The price is so good that I almost want to pay it just to upgrade my Dr. No thru Casino Royale DVD box, but then I thought about the last time I actually sat down and watched a Bond movie at home (not counting flipping through TV and running across Goldfinger or something). I'd essentially be paying $40 to not watch something, but in higher definition. :-p

I bought this set about 6 or 8 mo past. I thought long and hard about double-dipping (I already had the all the DVDs, when would I find the time, etc...).
I'm glad I finally bought them. So worth it. It's like watching them for the first time. The restoration work is damn good.
I've only watched about 8 of them. Started with OHMSS; it was a revelation. I'm on to Dalton and Brosnan next.

Adm Naismith: Re: " I'm on to Dalton and Brosnan next."

Having started with the first 2 (though I reversed them), I'd like to move on to the rest in chronological order, and am VERY curious about George Lazenby! And the images I've seen so far are wonderful -- the special feature in "Dr. No" that shows images before and after the restoration is illuminating. Luckily I had only bought 3 of them (with Connery) on DVD, and figured that even if I bought just the Connery films on Blu-ray that I would pay more for them than for the entire boxed set, which tipped the scales for me. Too many movies, too much music, so little time!!!

Well, I pulled the trigger on that set. Hopefully I'll get it. I'm glad they did accept Paypal, so I can at least file a claim if I don't get it.

Well, I've got a USPO tracking number showing something will be delivered tomorrow or Friday. Fingers crossed. And I'll follow up after I examine the package, contents, and examine/try the discs.

John: When did you place your order? I ordered mine on the 16th and haven't gotten a tracking number yet. Yes, please. Let us know the condition of the set when you inspect it. smile

Greg, I also ordered on the 16th. I did not receive an email notice -- but yesterday when I logged into the site and went into my order history (tab on the left) I found that my order was listed as shipped -- and then by clicking on "view" in the order information I was given a tracking number. The USPO tracking shows that the order is now processing through a Boston sorting facility. I honestly have fingers crossed that all of this is legit!
