Keeping up with the Kino announcements, but really disappointed to find so many of my MGM DVDs are non-anamorphic. I have way too many on the list below. I'm really hoping Kino will slow down and make an attempt to get better prints from MGM. I was very disappointed in their release of Duel At Diablo. Pretty much the only improvement is that is is that it's anamorphic.
Any anamorphic DVD I have, I'm hanging on to till I read the reviews.

So many good films I want to buy on that list. I've bought several already. The 1970s titles especially.
THE EMERALD FOREST was directed by John Boorman and photographed by Philippe Rousselot in the rain forest. It was released in 1985, and I consider it the best film of the decade. A metaphysical adventure like nothing I'd ever seen before. A truly exceptional work. Its release in hi-def has been long overdue.

Kino Video will bring to Blu-ray director Norman Jewison's comedy The Russians Are Coming, the Russians Are Coming (1966), starring Carl Reiner, Eva Marie Saint, Alan Arkin, Brian Keith, Jonathan Winters, Paul Ford, Theodore Bikel, and John Phillip Law. The release is scheduled to arrive on the market on February 10, 2015.
Synopsis: When a sightseeing Soviet commander runs his submarine aground off the New England coast, the crew's attempts to find a boat to dislodge them almost start World War III!
Russian Lt. Rozanov (Arkin) and his crew hit the beaches of Massachusetts unaware of the panic they're about to start. Despite the Russians' harmless intentions, the folks in town think a full-scale Soviet invasion has been launched! What's worse, their police chief (Keith) has left his hysterical assistant (Winters) in charge...and the one man who knows the truth (Reiner) is only stirring up more chaos!

Kino Video has detailed its upcoming Blu-ray releases of Joseph Sargent's action drama White Lightning (1973), starring Burt Reynolds, Jennifer Billingsley, Ned Beatty, Bo Hopkins, Diane Ladd, Laura Dern, and Matt Clark, and Burt Reynolds' Gator (1976), starring Burt Reynolds, Jack Weston, and Lauren Hutton. The two releases will be available for purchase on November 11th.
