The other two stars are Kirk Douglas and Doris Day. I have been wondering which film would take its place. After some searching, the oldest one I have found is BONNIE AND CLYDE (1967). Starring Faye Dunaway, Warren Beatty, Gene Hackman, Estelle Parsons and Michael J. Pollard. All are still with us. Well, I'm wondering how many of them in a single picture have to be alive...2 or 5 like you've chosen but your choice is excellent with 5 still being with us. Earl Holliman was also in FORBIDDEN PLANET -- 1956 -- which we watched the other night. The second-billed cast member, Jeffrey Hunter, has passed. Third-billed Virginia Leith is still with us. It's harder than you might think to find the three top-billed cast members still living. Even if all three were no older than 30 at the time, and the average 1960's film was made in 1965, all three would have to live into their mid-80s. I suppose that even "young" lead actors back then werent usually that young. And of course im sure youre right - you think of a film starring someone still with us, then realise of the films they were in, their co-stars have passed. Kirk Douglas and Gena Rowlands. George Kennedy & William Schallert are still with us. McCabe & Mrs Miller (1971) still has all five top-billed actors among the living. Doctor Zhivago (1965) still has three top-billed actors among the living. Young Cassidy (1965) still has three top-billed actors among the living. The Time Machine (1960) still has three top-billed actors among the living. As an aside, I just read a Vanity Fair article with Maureen O'Hara. Still kickin' at 96. So Geraldine Chaplin, Julie Christie, and Tom Courtenay (all living) are listed first. But who's to say that Courtenay's role was bigger than Omar Sharif's (listed seventh). Also still living is Rita Tushingham. Olivia de Havilland is pretty much the sole survivor from any of the films she made prior to 1965.
