He, he....no, I can't remember the day or year. I remember there was a childhood infatuation when I was about 4-5 years old -- although I probably wouldn't have called it love at the time. She was a neighbour, but I can't remember her name. This was ca. 1981/82.

I've never had a long-term relationship, so I can't comment on that.

Kathleen. We were about 7 (c. 1979). She put her hand on mine in the TV darkroom. Incredibly strong feelings I'd never felt before, too much for my tiny mind. smile

I guess love and the word love is as flexible as a rubber band and I guess this is another thread going to obscure land, oh well.

I don't fall in love in a day, I guess. The first time I thought I fell in love was 2002 or 2003. The first time I really fell in love, about a year later. Still haven't found a lasting mutual love situation.

I question if anyone really falls in love in one day? Of course there are more explanations to love then there are stars in the universe, But what I really meant on this thread was something like your answer, adult love, Where you first reach that point where in simple terms 2 souls become one.

Love at first sight, for me. Well, infatuation at first sight, which became love. I was at an audition, at a theater, where I pretty much knew everyone. This girl who I had never seen gets up and sings an obscure Rodgers and Hammerstein song, "So Far", and completely knocks me out. Not only was she beautiful, she had the best voice I ever heard. I kept asking people at the audition who she was? Nobody knew her. Immediately following her singing audition, she left. Six months later, I would be cast as her boyfriend in the national tour of NO NO NANETTE, and we've been together, ever since. That was in 1972. Although, we didn't marry until 1976.

Well I certainly fell in love with the the first and only girl I've been with somewhere around August of 2009. It didn't last more than 2 years though.

Then there is the guy I am with now, fell in love real fast and it was much more mutual this time. This was late September 2011. This one is much stronger than the last.

TO PHILLY SON- Interesting story, ever think about writing a screenplay on how you met and all? You never know. I once wrote a screenplay on my 18 month love affair with a girl when I was 19 years old. I did it because after writing so many screenplays of fiction it is fascinating to write one on your own life , based on first hand facts. Never filmed it. But looking at it now it's cute. Looking at it now it is sought of like a diary. Brings back memories of forgotten events.

Oh, you were asking for ADULT love? Why didn't you say so?

Well, I still haven't been in a relationship with mutual love between us (they have been too short-term for that), but I've obviously been IN love with several girls over the years. Is that what they call infatuation?

I'm guessing there are some 10 girls since my teenage years that have had the dubious honour of having my serious infatuation....even though most of them never knew it at the time, nor do they know today (except for a couple).
