WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 4

THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E.---the movie remake starring Henry Cavill (MAN OF STEEL) and Armie Hammer (THE LONE RANGER) based on the 1960s NBC spy series is set during the Cold War of the 1960s involving CIA agent Napoleon Solo and KGB agent Illya Kuryakin. The official synopsis is about Solo and Kuryakin being "Forced to put aside longstanding hostilities, the two team up on a joint mission to stop a mysterious international criminal organization, which is bent on destabilizing the fragile balance of power through the proliferation of nuclear weapons and technology. The duo's only lead is the daughter of a vanished German scientist, who is the key to infiltrating the criminal organization, and they must race against time to find him and prevent a worldwide catastrophe."
Also, Jared Harris (MAD MEN) has joined the cast.





STAR WARS: EPISODE VII---Benedict Cumberbatch's representative denied rumors that he is starring in the latest Star Wars movie, "There is no truth to the rumour Benedict has been cast in Star Wars. I think the rumours are circling because JJ and Benedict have just recently had a wonderful time working together on Star Trek."


AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN---poster released for Season 3.





TRUE BLOOD---HBO announced Season 7 will be the last season. HBO also renewed THE NEWSROOM for Season 3.

ROCK THE KASBAH---Bill Murray stars in this Barry Levinson (THE NATURAL) movie about a loser music manager on a USO tour tour in Afghanistan. The penniless manager discovers a young girl with a beautiful singing voice who wants to compete in a popular Kabul tv talent show.

DARK PLACES---Christina Hendricks (MAD MEN) will play Charlize Theron's murdered mother in the movie based on the novel.





TESTAMENT---supernatural movie underway in which the science teacher and students in a remote Texas boarding school may hold the key to the disastrous global outbreaks of the Ten Plagues of the Old Testament.

MEMPHIS---Elvis Presley biomovie underway with Kevin MacDonald (THE LAST KING OF SCOTLAND) as the director.

DANCING WITH THE STARS---new contestants include Valerie Harper, Leah Remini, Elizabeth Berkley, Amber Riley, Snooki, Bill Nye, Keyshawn Johnson and Jack Osbourne.

THE FIFTH WAVE---Sony Pictures movie franchise underway based on the novels about a young girl seeking her missing brother after an alien invasion.

ROOM---movie underway based on the novel about a mother who hides from her five-year-old son the secret that their existence in an 11' by 11' shed is because they are being held captive.

NO WAY BACK---ABC pilot based on the novel about two women, one is an ex-cop who witnessed a murder and the other is a Mexican hostage, who are fleeing a conspiracy of drug lords, arms dealers and government officials.

HORRIBLE BOSSES 2---the sequel is underway with Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis, Charlie Day and Jamie Foxx expected to return. Sean Anders (THAT'S MY BOY) is the director.

MAX STEEL---Mattel, Inc. confirmed a live-action movie based on the popular toy line is underway.

LIFE AFTER BETH---zombie movie starring Aubrey Plaza, Dane DeHaan, Paul Reiser and John C. Reilly with the plot based, "on a young man whose life takes a turn for the worse when he attempts to make amends after his recently deceased girlfriend returns from the dead."

Well she is a whole 3 months older than Theron. Or is this a flashback?
