how many more films do we need with giant spacecraft hovering over bombed out cities? Whatever happened to the friendly aliens of CE3K, COCOON, E.T.??

The trend is dark and hopeless right now. But I agree with you. A friendly alien would be nice.

No more INDEPENDENCE DAY please. Unnecessary.

Not to mention impossible... according to the movie's own interior storyline. It was established that the mothership contained the entire alien population.

Of course, they could always retcon some silly caveat like "there were/are several motherships all exploring the universe for planets to plunder at the same time, and they're wondering why the Earth-bound vessel hasn't corresponded lately".

(Damn! I think I just served it to them on a platter! frown)

Ok they should have filmed the Broadway cast years ago. Can Chris Pine sing? What no Joanna Gleason? Bernadette Peters? I smell another A Little Night Music travesty in the offing.

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES---co-creator Kevin Eastman commented on the Michael Bay reboot movie, “From everything that I've seen in the script and the development and everything they've asked my input on specifically, it's gonna be an awesome, familiar, solid Turtles movie. It'll have everything that fans are gonna want and then some. It's all based solidly on the Turtles foundation, but they've hit the reset button. They've taken it back to the first episode, with the Turtles’ first time above ground after many years of training with Master Splinter. They're making a Turtles origin that is firmly rooted in Turtles history, but a slight tweak here and a slight tweak there.”

That should end all discussion! eek

Yeah, because the original creators always know that their creations are headed in the right direction.

The discussion will be over once the product is released. Then I'll be a believer.

This is the same bill of goods that was sold to us with the 2006-ish CGI movie, and that was a turd. The current TMNT series on Nickelodeon is very good - the first good take since the only other good take, the 1990 original movie, as far as I'm concerned. With Michael Bay's name attached, I can't see this being particularly good - but I'm willing to be surprised.
