Watching replay, Without doubt Ramos has deliberately tried to cause salah injury there. He has hooked his arm and locked onto it for the fall. Normally you would let go. He knew they were both falling and hes hung on and landed on the trapped arm. Almost judo like. No, he did it deliberately and its plain to see. He took him out.

I’ve only seen it the once (we were out last night) but didn’t Salah injure the other arm? Ramos booked the right arm, Salah landed on the left, which caused the damage. A deliberate foul but not intending to injure, I’d have said.

Tough on Liverpool. I know what it’s like to lose a European Cup final, and I know what it’s like to lose a cup final thanks to a goalkeeping error.

Disappointing last night. Not much went right. Klopp has to look at himself for persisting with that keeper, who has never been convincing. Basic mistakes, no excuse for him. Doubt he'll play for Liverpool again. They were able to bring on Bale when all we had was not fit Lallana and Can. Losing Salah was a disaster, Mane and Robertson both excellent.

I would say that Ramos wasn't sure what injury he was aiming for, but he certainly wanted to do some damage. He just hit the jackpot.

He held his arm for a long time, flicked at his feet so he'd trip and then rolled him. He looked very pleased when Salah went off.

You'd like to think Ramos didn't purposely try to cause injury, but judging by his past record he clearly knew what he was doing. Nasty piece of work. I can't see Salah making the world cup, or if he does he won't be 100%.

Pray tell, TG, of your goalkeeping career in European Cup finals. Either you have been hiding your light under a bushel all this time or you are actually dan the man.

He's tall enough, and when i met him he was wearing goalie gloves. He said his hands were just cold. Then he dropped a pint glass he was holding. I should have known he'd probably be on the England reserve list.

You’re all happy to take the piss but I was sympathising with our Libpool supporting brothers who probably need a bit of empathy right now. And I was only on the bench for the 1975 Euro Cup final. Had a great view of Beckenbauer cosying up to the lino, though, to get him to raise his offside flag. As Harvey Korman would say, “Teutonic twat”.

I was surprised, all Liverpool the 1st 25 mins, they should of been 2up easy, they had RM rattled early, it's so important to score early half chances cause Madrid will punish mistakes.

My 24-year old daughter was in Liverpool last night staying with old uni friends and has just returned home. Late in the evening a Liverpool fan came up to her, said in a drunken attempt at charm that she had mesmerising eyes, gave her his red and white scarf, burst into tears and sloped off singing “you’ll never walk alone”! Hilarious!

I think Klopp deserves another year to at least win some think, I did see his stats, 6 final's lost 6, if only Liverpool converted early it could of rolled different.

I was at Elland Road on the 19th, boxing, what a good cheap night out, as I said Warrington would win he won comfortably in the end.

Hey Liverpool fans, how many players would Liverpool need to challenge for the league? Or even 2nd? 6 or 7? I know a new goalie and several defenders but wasn't sure how old your midfield is and what cover you need.

A top keeper. Another good striker.
1 more ball winning midfielder.
Job done.

Im still fuming about that ramos ju jitsu move.
How could any ref - or anyone other than a rabid Real fan - not see he was deliberately trying to cause injury? Ive played football, and when people try to do me, i know how to leave a foot in, how to hang back slightly on a 60-40 challenge, landing on them after a tackle, etc etc, and Ramos was out to hurt. Dont matter what shoulder salah hurt, he couldve snapped his arm in two.
Ramos is a thug and like other big clubs captains terry, Keane, bryan robson, etc he uses his captain status as a license to inflict injury knowing 9 times out of 10 they will get away with it coz refs baulk at dishing out red cards to senior big-club stars.

Salah saying it's not as bad as feared but I can't imagine he'll be 100% fit for Egypt. Reminds me of all those Rooney debacles where he was supposedly fit for England in the summer but wasn't.

I must publicly admit to my being wrong (again) about something. In this case, the Ramos play. I only saw it once and didn't see the arm lock. Shame on me, but double shqme on dirty boy Ramos for continuing to be a dirtbag.

Good signing for Liverpool with the 45m deal for Brazilian midfielder Fabinho. Strong defensive player who can also play box to box. Terrific to have got him at last*

*I've never actually heard of him until about an hour ago.
