I'd like to thank all the participants for making the Alan Meyerson thread such a resoundng success. The FSM elitists largely stayed away, which gave it even more "rebel cred."

I would like to thank you, JimmY Phelps, for likening me to 'Che'!
smile
FYI two of my recents posts- made in all seriousness- .were mistakenly taken as jokes! In fact I received some of.the.biggest laughs of my 'career' !
(not gonna say which ones).

My fave posts were the ones in the "What does your user name mean" thread.
Was both funny and most revealing.
More insightful than 100 posts. smile

44) SchiffyM's denial that release announcement threads ever have requests for other scores.

I bring it back whenever I read a post that reinforces the theory. Here it is, let it be your guide:

The thread went "poof" at my request because I had a freakin' case of thin skin that day. Thanks for the compliment solium. I may just have to resuscitate it.

Sorry, was that 'limits' or 'limitations'?

That was a bullying thread, intended to call out a poster as a liar, and crush enthusiasm. And what's more, it was a repeat of an earlier thread where 'Mr. 17 year-old composer' was also called out as a liar. Started by the same poster as it happens.

I have no idea if that earlier person was a BillCarson style fun persona or a real person. But we see a pattern.

For what it's worth, people may have noticed (maybe it's because I'm UK), I'm not susceptible to fluffy kitten maternal personae because experience has taught me it's usually a compensatory cover. It works less well over here. We don't have a Partridge Family equivalent. The shadow is not integrated properly.

I'm also not susceptible to people who go out of their way to tell everyone how 'truthful' they are. That's never valid.

All I saw was bullying. If any of you budding satirists know more, do tell. I think WA can defend herself very well.

I find that I'm not particularly susceptible to the reincarnation of multiple personas which can happen. I feel duped. (IMHO.)

But how do you know this, Joan? It's very easy to fall prey to paranoia.

All I can say, William, is that I know what I personally AM NOT fond of and what I don't like to be susceptible to when getting to know various FSM members. That is just my personal preference. To each his or her own. Paranoia? I don't know about that, but I will ponder it.

P.S. I also think that sometimes "fluffy kitten personas" are authentic and legitimate. I mean look at sweety Bill Carson, and he is from the UK. smile

Before you post something as fact, you should make sure that your information is accurate. Please cite the exact thread that I started wherein I indicated that 'Mr. 17 year-old composer' was a liar.
