So, anyone planning on watching the big game Sunday? What do you plan on enjoying it with? As for myself, I am going to pick up a 6 pack of Bridgeport IPA, and have plenty of salty snacks to watch the game. That should at least get me to half-time!

Enjoy!

Is that the Super Bowl you're referring to?

Tonight, I'm going to a HUGE singles party hosted by a singles website I just became a member of (reluctantly, I've always been very skeptical about such things). It's hosted in a huge place with discos, pubs, karaoke rooms etc. and more than 1000 people is expected to be there. Should be exciting nonetheless.

Yes it is the Super Bowl I am referring to. Unfortunately I don't have Black Sunday on cd yet, or that would have been a perfect lead in to the game. I guess I will start that tradition next year.

Have a great time at the party!

Thanks. You have a good game. I know how much of an institution the Super Bowl is in the US.

The arrangers of the party I'm attending have photoshopped the building that hosts it, and just from that, it looks to be fun:

To me, it's not so much one particular type of "venom", but the "cocktail mix" that is the problem. If I down beer, wine (red or white) and spirits on the same night, I'm screwed.

Yep. For me I go with one of the versions of the old adage: Beer and wine are usually fine, beer and liquor will make you sicker.

As to the Super Bowl celebration, I love it. Since I don't like football, my family and I can go out to eat anywhere that Sunday night and enjoy a pretty empty, quiet restaurant that is normally full and too noisy. It's a special night!

It's Friday!

Tonight, I'm heading downtown to meet some colleagues from the film website I'm writing for.

Gearing up now with some high-class beers that I bought from a local brewery on Fur (an island in Denmark that hosts my family's summer house). Tastes bloody brilliant! Here's a pic:

So cheers! What are your plans for tonight?

I just finished a glass of Pepsi.

It's Not alcohol I know but the thing is I was drinking it out of a Coke glass, which makes it way more dangerous than any alcoholic beverage could ever be (universe imploding and all that)...

Got anything planned for tonight?

I'm heading over to some friends to see the Eurovision Song Contest. There will be beer.

Enjoyed the beginning of Memorial Day Weekend with a few Sierra Nevada Pale Ales at a local happy hour. Fortunately, the weather was really nice, and we sat at the patio. Even our dog seemed to be enjoying himself (he was drinking water of course).

Wow, cool. I had no idea he was touring with them now. Definitely do report on this, Thor. Now go sleep it off.

I'll blame it on the booze, but Hodgson was obviously not there WITH Supertramp. Still, a wonderful solo show by him (and band). All the classic Supertramp songs were performed.

Interestingly, Supertramp (SANS Hodgson) is touring again right now, although unfortunately not to Norway.

Form could be better, but currently gearing up for a marathon party weekend!

A friend of mine has rented an entire 3-story place downtown for his 30th birthday tonight (with 200 guests expected to arrive), which should be fun. Tomorrow is a more intimate garden party in a villa outside Oslo. Should also be nice, form permitting.

Don't lose those cowboy boots, Thor!

This weekend is when the little Spanish provincial town where I live celebrates its annual Roman weekend, with gladiators fighting atop the Roman Wall which encircles the city, chariot races through the streets and lots and lots of wine and beer for those in the mood. I'm a bit worse for wear these days, but I'm tempted to get out the old gladiator costume (Shh! - That's a secret!) and participate.

Sounds fun! Good ol'fashioned Roman hedonism.

Here is some actual footage of a singles' party in Thor's home town:

Well - I'm celebrating my daughters 8th birthday. A night at home. A few quiet drinks. Enjoying my kids company.

While I am envious of Thors party life, I'm getting too old to even attempt the kind of weekends that Thor attends. Trust me - I've tried.

Old age really does creep up on you.

But cheers to you all!!!

Meeting some friends to watch the USA - Ghana game is the perfect saturday night for me.

That's just how I like it, cozy and laidback. No stress and "trying to have fun".

That's nice sometimes too. Had a gradual descent in "party activity" throughout the weekend - from the huge thing on Friday to a more intimate (but still booze-heavy) private BBQ yesterday to a relaxed, alcohol-free pizza & World Cup afternoon at a friend's place today.

Haven't updated this in a while!

Gearing up for a party in the new offices of montages.no, the online film magazine I'm writing for. We had a meeting earlier today, where all the "serious" matters came up. Now it's all about having fun! smile

Cheers.

I'm drinking water from the tap! It's greeeeeeeeeeat, and it's free in the bars (but, curiously, not in one's own house)! I need to buy some CDs so I made this sacrifice! I'm now healthy, wealthy and wise! Take a leaf out of my book you young whippersnappers! Cheers! (glug glug glug - Aaahh, that's SO nice! Not very tasty I admit, not very daring, but I'll try anything once).
