Have seen a lot I like listed, such as "The 4400" and "Dark Angel" and "Poltergeist Legacy" and "Jeremiah," all of which I bought on boxed DVD. Just thumbing through the 12 pages of this thread, it's obvious that we sci-fi fans have had studios at least trying hard to cater to our interests. Indeed, the last 40 or so years have been a watershed of sic-fi on both the small and the large screen. Yes, we have reservations about some of the product and cry when some of our favorites are too abruptly cancelled because of low viewer interest. But we've certainly not been neglected, and one need only look at what is STILL on right now to give thanks.

I decided to check out "Legend". I just finished the pilot, which is movie length.
Aside from Richard Dean Anderson as an executive producer, Michael Greenburg also served as one; he was an executive producer on "MacGyver", too, which accounts for the hiri8ng of Ken Harrison as composer (who, by the way, I checked -- scored all twelve episodes of the series).
It's nothing remarkable, but it looks like it's some good fun (not the stupid kind).
Anderson plays a character named Ernest Pratt, in the 1800's, who is a drinker and womanizer with a struggling writering career. He writes a series of books based upon a hero he calls Nicodemus Legend.
Pratt finds out he's wanted for arrest in another state, but as Legend. So he goes out and tries to prove he's not, but gets arrested anyway. The town thinks he's Legend, and so does everybody else. Including a powerful female land owner who is up to something big, so she's trying to get rid of Legend.
Eventually the better angels of his soul make him realize the people need help and so he goes along with being Legend. With the help of eccelctic scientist Janos Bartok's (John de Lancie) inventions (making the show have a sort of Will Smith "Wild Wild West" feel), he becomes legend.
The writing was decent (and had some good moments, too) and you can tell Anderson had a hand in some of the lines, and the acting from the cast was, too. My problems are Anderson wasn't going all in with his character. I love John de Lancie -- wonderful presance, voice, articulations, but he wasn't giving himself over to the Bartok character; he was Lancie pretending to be Bartok; hopefully this improves.
It has it's moments, especially thge fun way Legend handles a hired fastgun -- surely won't see that in most westerns.
The scoring is professional, and as westerns flavors like harmonica. If you enjoed his western scores to the two episodes of "MacGyver" set in the old west, you'll enjoy this. It's also got a light bit of playful wimsy to it. I've submitted the corrections to IMDb for the composer, and music editor.
All in all, not great, but not bad. I'm going to check out the second episode now and see how it goes.
I don't think Thor would enjoy it.

Just started ORPHAN BLACK.
Much better than I expected given its shopworn premise.
Every time it seems like it is going to derail it rights itself with good plotting.

Yeah, I've seen the first season of PENNY DREADFUL. It's OK, but nothing remarkable.

Just checked out MASTERS OF HORROR s.1 (were there more than one season?)
CHOCHOLATE w/ Henry Thomas wasn't good.
INCIDENT with the bee yoootiful Bree Turner was very good. Turner, who I only know from GRIMM was quite the sexy young thing back in 2005. She is still very pretty but her figger has gotten a bit wide, if you know what I mean. Unfotunately she didn;t get nekkid
