Mignogna's STAR TREK CONTINUES for me is definitely the Best of the Internet Fan Productions out there. The main actors are quite competent.
I've seen many including James Cawley's well intentioned, yet unintentionally comic STAR TREK with the Elvis/Kirk appearances and horrible supporting fan actor appearances.
I applaude Vic M. and his team for making fun it and entertaining, expertly executed presentations!
Even though no one can ever replace the Original Star Trek crew led by Shatner, Nimoy and Kelly, the STAR TREK CONTINUES Team truly honors the soul of the original material and I find it fun.
Much more enjoyable to me than any of the J.J. offerings indeed!
I watched 'Come Not Between Dragons'. Handsome production- well produced and directed. Gigi Edgley was awesome, even channeling the melodramatic acting style of the day.
I'm tempted to watch the Mirror Universe ep, and the one with the Holodeck (to see how far they go- even in the TAS ep it roughly replicated basic environments, not whole scenarios lie TNG 'decks). UPDATE- OK- they went a little far with the holodeck tech. Even the Next Gen crew were initially dazzled by the sophistication and realism of the settings and characters. Picard was, at least.
well, after watching ep one i can definitely say it is better than The Next Ripoff!
not happy to read that they are incorporating the accursed Holodeck into the stories. At least Episode one actually portrayed it realistically - as a projection -not the lazy plot device of TNR et al
i recognize two characters from TOS: Edith Keeler and Kirk's Indian bride But the black woman and the blonde in the white suit- are they inventions of the writers? (the standards of the era certainly would never have allowed an inter-racial love affair)
Do all the episodes have original scores? I watched the first three episodes some time back, and I just assumed they were tracking music from the original series.

Mostly tracked - including the the occasionally awkward and inappropriate manner of the TOS! But there is original music mixed in. Episode 4 had a substantially original score! bruce

Thanks. I will have to watch episodes four through six soon.
episode 5 is the first weak one. But, it is sub-par in the way that TOS had less than great episodes!!!!!!! So, even the lesser eps are in keeping with the spirit and tone of the OS!!!
