I missed this one- back in MAY , STEVEN H SCHEUER died at the age of 88, well known film critic. I remember back in the days when there was no computers and internet, and a lot less material and books done on films. His book listing thousands of film reviews in pocketbook form was a treasure to read as a kid, I think my folks got me one edition of his for my birthday.

Wow! That's a huge one for me Dan...a very sad loss of a true film enthusiast. I remember constantly comparing those little reviews with Maltin's and with Steven's other issues as sometimes they would vary quite a bit. I seem to remember my film critic friend showing me a "black book" one year they produced where the reviews of the films referenced were kind of bizarre and quite different than his other reference guides.

DICK JONES voice of Pinocchio from the DISNEY classic of 1940 has died at the age of 87. Dick appeared in a lot of westerns on TV in the 50's and 60's. he was the lead in the mid 50's show BUFFALO BILL JR. Earlier in his career he was in the OUR GANG films. R.I.P DICK.
