This flick was a late 60s commercial 'failure' that truly perplexed Mr. Sturges as to why it wasn't received better.



Whilst not up thar with his other classics,



it boasts not only a superlative Jerry Gee score nothing short of thrilling,



but still stands as an impressive, no-nonsense and absorbing take on the tricky tightrope of Truth
betwixt legendary fact, factual legend or what's in between both.
