Norway's was my favourite song this year. My wife claims I just liked the singer.

That just means your wife knows you have good taste in women.

This is another good one Natalia Kelly of Austria singing 'Shine'. This was eliminated in the semi-final!!!

My favourite was the Netherlands entry.

The song is decent but I've never enjoyed Anouk's voice, do have to give her props for entering what is basically the special olympics of music contests.

P.S. I can't deny our American friends the Romanian entry xD

I see that Eurovision is living up to it's usual reputation.

"Eurovision rocked by voting scandal"

Thank god we don't get this one down. The Idol / Voice / Got Talent / X Factors are enough..

Eurovision was never the same after this gorgeous songbird failed to get top spot, and instead it went to Dana in 1970. I remember rooting for Mary while my mother was happier that Dana got it. Grrrrr. I knew who was best even at the tender age of nine years old!

And if that whets the appetite for more utter sweetness look no further than here:

and here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q27u5YvgEdU note Paul McCartney who produced her at the time.

Mary Hopkin forever!

Anyone watching it tomorrow night? Ireland have qualified for the final for the first time since 2013. Pleasant enough little tune, might score decent. Not too keen on the UK song, sounds pretty much like all the other floor filling bangers that get trotted out each year...

Unless I get invited to a ESC party, I doubt I'm going to follow it. Haven't paid any attention to it this year; I've barely even heard the Norwegian contribution.

The Eurovision final has become a tradition for my wife and me. Odd, since she doesn't like music. I'll be watching with a keg of Ghost Ship at my side.

God, I'm sitting and watching this -- drunk and alone. How pathetic!

God, I'm sitting and watching this -- drunk and alone. How pathetic!

But it does ease the pain. The drunk bit, not the alone bit. Cheers!

I'm just mildly drunk (then again, I'm German and can handle a lot), and just stopped by... the music is -- as always -- mostly atrocious, but hey, you can vote, and it is a lot of fun.

Gee, 12 points from Norway to Germany... thanks, Thor. big grin (I admit, I don't know any of the actual songs... this year, I just watch the votings...)

And, the winner is... ISRAEL! Yeah. :-) Don't know the song, but I think it's cool, because I LOVE to see Israel in the news for something that doesn't have anything to do with politics and/or religion and is just about stupid fun.

Like Jeh noted above, me and the missus have tuned in, in the past, to have a laugh and slowly get merry on the pop.
It was on last night, but she just wouldn't get interested in it (she was kinda busy booking more holidays on her phone).
I came back down from a toilet break to find she'd switched over to Britain's Got NO Talent, cos she said the song was hurting her ears.
It did seem to go on forever though.
We ended up watching an episode of The Good Fight til near midnight and when that had finished, IT WAS STILL ON!!!
I liked the Lithuania song, sounded a bit like Cyndi Lauper's True Colours, but the girl wasn't a very good singer.

The Danish viking song was the best; a shame it didn't come higher in the end.

Its been a racket for at least 50+ years on-&-off, the best don't win anymore cause its all tactical voting for your neighbours.

For instance. Englebert Humperdinck, Love will set you free, 25th out 26, yeah right, total B.S.

Eurovision pong con-test, nothing else.
