"Tasteless" is often in the eye of the beholder, a matter of opinion--not fact.
Not to mention that no one here is forced to click on a topic... one chooses to.

I think it is a worthwhile discussion to have especially because bisexuals are still seen as either nonexistent or otherwise completely misunderstood. I think a respectful discussion on the subject of what bisexuality means can be helpful to dispel some of the myths that people deal with. This can be the bisexual man who comes out and is met with people saying that he must be gay in denial. This can also be the woman who is told she is being greedy when she tells her friends she is bisexual.

Sadly, I think the topic creator seems unable to be respectful in his treatment of this subject so I can understand why some find the resulting thread to be tasteless.

I'm not sure Dan meant to be disrespectful. Sometimes it's all in how you word it, and thoughts on a topic as provocative and delicate as this may not always be expressed as diplomatically as one might.
The discussion itself can be a waltz on a knife-edge.

Since dan seems to to be determined to post the greatest number of topics on this site, frequently starting new ones for subjects that have already been started by others an hour or 2 earlier, I sometimes feel he has some sort of unquenchable need to share his thoughts on just about anything, even when he may have nothing salient to say about a subject. And his level of superficiality seems to correspond conversely with how much he knows about a subject, with some of his most outrageous comments posted on topics that he has the least knowledge about.

It's been written above that no one is forcing any of us to go to his postings, but the fact is that we can't know the level of his naiveté until we go to the discussion, and once we're there, it's hard to leave without commenting on what we've found. At least he seems adept at pushing our buttons. Let me get back to movies and soundtracks and leave such inanity to those whose lives are more inextricably tied to this site than is mine.

I always wondered, which do straight people prefer?

All right.

That's enough.

Several of you have really got your head stuck up your collective ass.

Some people are more experienced in this area than others, and it is always the others who must ask to find out.

Everybody stop discriminating against Dan the Man for asking the question. Asking is how people learn. Better that he ask the question and receive intelligent, adult replies than insults.

No, it was cleverly set up as a jab against gays and bisexuals in pretext of a learnable question.

I'm all for educating people who have questions but he re-posted a number of typical misinformed assumptions about what things are like for bisexuals, like the assumption that bisexuals always worry their partners because they might be more likely to cheat than straight people.

Plus it is hard to respond to his posts when he posts two or three posts in a row without much structure.

Nonsense. You're imagining things. People like you should stay off the internet if the only thing you know how to do is project your insecurities on other people.
