I was actually getting angry during the judges' voting. UK getting 0 points through most of it was bad enough - but the number of 12s awarded to the risible and appalling Swedish entry was a joke. I must've started my keg too early.
My faith in humanity was restored - slightly - when the public vote came in.
No competition this year of course but there's still a programme from the EBU on TV tonight featuring the songs, and the acts doing a zoom version of Love Shine a Light. Johnny Logan singing as well.
I like the Iceland and Belgium songs from this year's would be entries.
I'll be watching and having a few beers. Anyone else plan to watch?
Don't know about covid, but the Eurovision induces one helluva coughing fit from these exposed lungs. Does anyone remember that nonsense Euro trash games competition broadcast on TV that was foisted on the public years ago - do you recall what that waste of space, time and money was called?
I remember it came out of nowhere, then disappeared without trace once it had served its 'common purpose, level playing field' mumbo jumbo.
Watched one of last Saturday night's shows on the Beeb. There were a few memories there, plus lots I never saw when I didn't bother with it much. But as well as the likes of Lulu (Boom Bang A Bang), shoe-less Sandy Shaw (Puppet On A String) and Clodagh Rogers (Jack in the Box), there was of course the lovely Mary Hopkin singing her heart out with Knock Knock Who's There?
