THIS in September will be showing BOBBIE JO AND THE OUTLAW-76- A crime film released by AIP in many markets on a double bill with David Croenberg's THEY CAME FROM WITHIN in America. Film has been a rarity on TV, missing Network TV, for the most part syndication and seldom on cable over the decades.THIS as one might have notice the last few years has a giant package of AIP films in their catalog,Slowly but surely they are showing them, however do they have the guts to show DERANGED-74-Well they did show LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT-72- a little while back[edited of course]

On TCM UNDERGROUND FRIDAY NIGHT THE 14TH, the second feature is THE WASP WOMAN-59- a low budget obscure cheapie which back in the 70's was a local station syndicated stable, usually late at night. However in the past few decades it has been rare on TV and cable.Film includes some bad direction, cheap sets and a music score by FRED KATZ, that sounds real pathetic on any budget.

ON THURSDAY THE 20TH, TCM in the middle of a SOPHIA LOREN marathon will show 2 very obscure films-CE'RA UNA VOLTA-67 AND GHOSTS ITALIAN STYLE-69-both films are very very rare on cable and have not been on TV much since the syndication days of the 70's. Both also have good music scores, so you might want to check it out.

MYSTERY OF THE WAX MUSEUM-33-is often forgotten by many. that it was the first version of the classic HOUSE OF WAX with VINCENT PRICE. It was also the first color horror film ever made. There was a period in the 60's and early 70's some horror fans thought it was a lost film. But what a joy it was when stations like WPIX- TV IN NEW YORK showed it on their CHILLER THEATRE in the early 70's. Has been on once in a while on cable over the years.

The films of regional filmmaker Charles B. Pierce (WINTERHAWK, THE TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN) have been poorly served on home video. One of his least known films, 1976's THE WINDS OF AUTUMN, will be shown on the THIS Channel on Wednesday, October 3rd, from 10 AM to 12 Noon ET. The film stars Jack Elam and Jeanette Nolan.

I WALKED WITH A ZOMBIE-43-A classy VAL LEWTON genre film with a grand mood. LEWTON'S fans have been pretty fortunate over the years with his films. they were shown often in syndication in the 60's and 70's and have been getting plenty of exposure on cable the past few decades. Thanks to TCM.
