I have never understood those farewell-posts people write. Like most others, he will be back. Ed Nassour said something similar, and he hasn't been back. Has he? In this case , First breath was right -- Aint I always...

Such drama. If he wants to leave, leave. If not, stay. Like an acquaintance of mine who actually wrote out a "Letter of Resignation," when he decided to leave AA and go drink again. It's all about just looking for attention...

To John- I am not keeping this old thread alive am i , THINK ABOUT THAT, I simply wanted to be polite to tell some people who did like my many threads i was most likely leaving, but things change, What is the sin of that.People, did you ever think that while there are hundreds of us who respond there are so many more who look in as i did for years and don't respond. Of course i have people who look in i know, as well as some who respond, it is also for that reason, not everybody[like me] want to tell everything about myself. For sure since i am part of the industry.I really don't understand with some of you, why you have such a silly attitude of making things so big and personal and instead of trying to create a friendly distant vibe, people seem to be ready to jump on every little thing to create friction.

Thanks. But as someone who actually worked at Fangoria, I'd really like to know what you did there, what your actual "industry" credits are, etc. Please, do tell. Otherwise, I feel like I'm enabling. Like we all are. You're always conspicuously silent on these questions.

It's all about just looking for attention... You said it. Read your profile. Loved your comment about having to get all those lp scores on CD. The incentive for me was that most of them were either "expanded," or "complete." And that made all the difference. I used to be more of a completist. Now, I still buy a lot, but I actually get rid of a lot, too. If anything, I still plan to weed my collection. There are so many scores that I've only played once, and have but little interest in hearing again, but I keep them because they're by Bernstein, Barry, Goldsmith, or some other composer. Maybe I've seen too many old people end up in nursing homes, for whatever reason, and their relatives simply dispose of their long-cherished possessions.... It's sad. It's all change. (Also, isn't this thread about Dan the Man leaving "the building?")

Where is this building? It's facade is probably of revolving doors.

Well, he has most definitely NOT left "the building." (Reminds me of Trimalchio, in "The Satyricon" of Petronius, wanting to stage his own funeral, without actually dying, so that he can see how everyone mourns for him.... lol)
