I was most impressed by Karen Black's performance in COME BACK TO THE FIVE AND DIME, JIMMY DEAN, JIMMY DEAN. I'd like to see this on DVD.

Black played a newspaper reporter interacting with hostage-taker Richard Harris in this 1979 comedy-drama. The film was the last theatrical feature for English director Roy Boulting (TWISTED NERVE, THERE'S A GIRL IN MY SOUP).

MISS RIGHT, a bedroom farce, was produced around 1980, but it's unknown whether the film received any theatrical release, anywhere. The film is available on DVD, however. It has a score by Michael Small.

Karen was also featured in this neat little Made-For-TV thriller from 1977, which also has a cool Morton Stevens score - I have this on an old taped VHS:

Black made another "special appearance" in this 1985 Italian action-adventure film. The film was released to U.S. theaters in a less violent version than was available overseas. Reportedly, the English-language track for the more violent version has been lost. Consequently, video versions are either of the less explicit English-language cut, or a more violent subtitled Italian-language cut.
