I found I had a few Nancy Kovack screencaps of my own I could contribute at last!

Was Lynette Mettey in a white bikini, and Stuart Whitman also in that episode?

Just curious..

Yes, Anz, that's the one. A tired looking and rather hefty "Marshal Crown", IMO.

Better two years late with a response to this post concerning Lynette Mettey's appearance in "Quincy" that occurred in this thread! (seeing as how we don't have a "women of Quincy" thread), and I figured that with S3 announced for a June release it was appropriate to break out the earlier episodes for viewing.

And to keep this thread on-topic with its original subject matter, the same episode featured Marianna Hill (Dr. Helen Noel) as one of the baddies in the episode. 70s hair suited her rather nicely!

Just wanted to see the original "Yum" thread on top again, what with the new movie making such a stir.

. . . what with the new movie making such a stir.

Yeah, but . . . no Diora Baird.

Boo.

But remember....classic series only. wink

Why, what if I wanted to get my Persis Khambatta on?

Of course! But I wouldn't be an "enterprising" businessman if I didn't think about commercial crossover appeal. Besides, my Trek interest rarely strays outside the classic series and original cast films. Somehow, I think you already knew that... wink

OK, OK.

Could one of you smarties with the url-posting skills find me a good pic of the (non-ST, but previously mentioned) Linda Thorson? I'd be obliged.

As to the best Yum from non-TOS TREK series, I'm a Nana Visitor dude all the way. That itty-bitty little thing that played Ezri Dax was cute, too. smile

Be Well and Happy.

As to TOS:

None so much as Miramanee and Elaan of Troyius (sp?), thanks. And I don't see pics of either, so get to it.

Best one I could find.

You're most welcome. smile That was the best photo I saw of her since I think they really saddled her with some unflattering outfits in many of her early episode.

New Marianna Hill pics are an amazing thing to come across. She's not well represented on the Net, and her TOS appearance was as sexy as ST gets.

Leslie Parrish ("Who Mourns For Adonias?") seems to enjoy the costume provided for her.

So much so, that several months later in the season 1 finale of "Mannix" she donned the same costume again! (clearly the only time an exotic Trek costume entered the world of Joe Mannix) big grin

Good catch. I love this kind of thing, I guess because we were never supposed to know about it. I recall a post of yours that blew the lid off Honey West reusing a lion-print teddy. Just when they thought they had gotten away with it, too.

I'll bet Parrish told the Mannix costumer about that ST gown and they jumped on it: it fit her right off the rack and saved money.

Modesty was only for when the cameras weren't turning? big grin

"Mannix" being the last new show to carry the Desilu banner certainly allowed for easy access to the Trek costume department for that occasion. In fact, when you watch S1 of "Mannix" all the way through you can really get a sense of how close the two productions were, especially when Walter Koenig pops up in one episode or when a lot of Jerry Fielding music similar to his Trek work underscores some episodes.

Tiger print actually (previously worn by Suzy Parker on "Burke's Law") but close enough! big grin

I'm seeing a lot of broken links in the older posts, men. Maybe this thread is due for some user maintenance.

It's unfortunate that Leslie Parrish didn't go to lunch in the Desilu commissary in full costume the way Sherry Jackson did earlier in the series. wink

Well, maybe 'full costume' is an oxymoron in both cases.
