Oh, and while I forgot all about cheering for Goldsmith (understandable, given the circumstances), the bride's step-brother was a budding young film composer with whom I had a chat. He had actually studied in the US, under the tutelage of Chris Young at USC and had met several "guest lecturers" like Bernstein, Newton Howard and Raksin. He was also present at Silvestri's LILO AND STITCH recording session - so we had a lot of common film music references (quite unusual here in Norway). He had some opinions on Elfman and Williams that I didn't care for, and we obviously disagreed on the "film music as a stand-alone listen" thing, but I didn't probe deeper into that, as it was nice enough just to have a film music-interested Norwegian to talk to. ...and he was also sorry about Goldsmith's passing, of course. He had a major influence on him.

Thanks to Timmer's Water Trick, I never get headaches. NP: Judge Dredd (Alan Silvestri)

Simple. Drink lots and lots and lots of water before going to bed. Sleep long. Wake up with no headache.
