We have a sneaky suspicion your intuition may be infallible ...

Ep 11 - "Desperately"had Ray Sharkey as (Dryden)

(pre-his stellar stint as Sonny Steelgrave on Wiseguy) ...

Heh, Sharkey couldn't have been cast better in this episode...

Doesn't he get manhandled by McCall at one point?

We think you're thinkin' of a strong arm scene in the elevator when the sniffin'-with-a-cold McCall plays physical enforcer with the guy ostensibly Sharkey's superior.

I've just watched the Pilot episode on the DVD set. The commentary track is nice but it's the only episode in the set to feature commentary. Some great insights from Mr. Sloane. Also, the transfer is a little schizophrenic. It's kinda crappy for the first quarter of the episode and then improves so much that it looks like the episode was shot yesterday.

If you're speaking of the Schifrin anecdote, we're trying to track down where we first read about it but we're certain the info came from someone highly placed enough on the production side to know whereof they spoke ...

NO.
the dvd box has a disclaimer about some music being different than the broadcast versions.

Just finished watching "The Children's Song". So far, that has been the cleanest print in this set I've seen. I hope the rest of the prints are as nice as this one was.

I'm really enjoying this blast-from-the-past. I remember how difficult it was for me to always catch this show in the days when I was working full time, some odd part time jobs, going to college at night, and studying/writing papers on the weekends. [sigh] Where did all that energy go? McCall was saving the City in middle age!

Dead Drop is an absolute classic episode...

I'm amazed that they never brought Robin Curtis back. It was great watching her spar with Mickey!

There should have been an episode like this at least once or twice a season to show McCall interacting with this extended "family".

Now I cannot speak for Control here... but WE believe that last picture should be used as your avatar, neotrinity.

Yer right as rivetin’ rain about the evocative Ms. Curtis.

Saul Rubinek

captured Jason's self-absorbed riffs as only '80s yuppies could embody.

Ep 20. "No Conscience" even had (well, well, well) Linda Thorson as the secondary villaness.

Quite aways from her Avenging days, eh, Pat? ... wink
