dan the man-Getting Rid of the Albatross [of Creativity]

"To MR PHELPS-I have stacks of unfinished screenplays in my house [yes I pay a mortgage to ha ha ha] and one of them is about my time as house cinematographer at Bellevue. I worked with a composer who was a patient there [his name has been changed to protect the guilty [hohoho for anyone who knows where that is from] and we wrote this song together. Life is a strange journey and you never know the people you will meet or the genre films and soundtracks you will give as a gift to this crazy world."

Inspirational dan. the. man.

"Then I would recommend a dating service, you meet a stranger you will be with then all night restaurant , movies and by the end of the night you could become lifelong friends laughing away. If not, big deal, what did you really lose? Try the girl next week you will get from the service. Believe me these services have worked for many people. I know that from people I really knew and people far away. Believe me when it works out you are going to say as millions others have said, boy I was really silly before by not trying. what a waste of life. Now I suspect the fools might make negative comments on what I just said but believe me that is because they are ultra cynical people who like to keep people miserable. Sad but it is life. Don't listen to them guys, go for it. They say there is somebody out there for everyone. let me tell you there are many, many people out there for everybody. But all you need is that one special person."

Literary Giant. dan. the. man.

"I will continue to put jokes from films on this thread but i will be adding something new along with it, About 10 years ago i put together a journal of humor in which one part of it i had original funny quotes made out of genre film titles, people liked alot of them so i thought i will list them along with the film jokes, hope you find them amusing as my readers have."

You know guys when you started this thread a long time ago I thought it was a bit insulting so I just ignored it, but reading through the whole thing now I find it cute and amusing. I realize it's so over exaggerated but I guess in good taste. But I will never understand when there are so many other people on this board in the entertainment industry who we just except without having to dig into things they do in the industry I have been given all this stuff thrown at me.I guess we are all having fun. But as I said before one should understand that I know there are people who read this board who have been involved with me on business ventures in the past and everyone don't love everyone in this world. Do you folks remember about 2 years ago on a Saturday night a girl I believe and a guy on this board were going at it over some personal disagreement. It was really crazy and embarrassing, get my drift.

Controversial. Incomprehensible. dan. the. man.

"I think in recent years the turkey is the perfect word to describe this country[ha-ha-ha] like other empires such potential that has faltered by the waist side do to evil and self interest. Plus to make matters worst we are sandwiched between two countries that are also failures, one below that bleeds us down, one above that are crackpots."

How sad someone has to bump a thread solely for the purpose of publically bullying someone.

Hey, just having fun like Dan the man said himself, I can't decide who is more funny, that Mandela interpreter or Dan the man's posts in the Mandela thread. This is another integral part of the puzzle that is dan the man.

I am not trying to be Pollyanna or a holier than thou here Francis. I do not understand how publicly insulting someone can be fun. Very often the victim will tell the bully that the bullying is okay. It's called a trade-off in the bullying world - try to make peace with the bully. Take it from the mother of a child who was bullied through school - it is a defense tactic. Laugh with the bullies and maybe they won't laugh at me.

dan is a wonderful puzzle. His comments can be funny, touching and spot-on. He is a breath of fresh air in a sometimes stinky world. I want him to remain a mystery.

Making fun of someone is not an integral part of showing appreciation for them.

I'm quoting his fantastic contribution to the Nelson Mandela thread as a celebration of Dan the madness. Isn't that what he's after, stirring the pot in a thread where people are mourning the loss of Mandela, specifically having been asked by people in said thread not to do so? That interpreter showed more class.

Such posts show a lack of respect and warrant banishment rather then celebration.
