Here are some of the obscure films THIS NETWORK will be showing in October-THE NEANDERTHAL MAN-53-Used to be on pretty often on horror shows in syndication in the 60's and 70's . However it then vanished from the airways the past few decades, passing cable TV, Inspecter Henderson[ROBERT SHAYNE] plays a doc who is trying to prove we all were a bunch of primitive crude folks years ago, but all one has to do is go on a subway at rush hour to know that.DANCE WITH ME HENRY-56- ABBOTT AND COSTELLO'S last film together has been rare on TV in recent decades.LADYBUG LADYBUG-63-This drama about schoolchildren, might very likely never been on TV.DIARY OF A BACHELOR-64- here is another drama that is extremely rare in TV land-keep digging deep THIS- keep digging deep.

THE REPTILE-66- Was a Hammer effort which in typical style had good production values, solid acting and able direction from JOHN GILLING. It was one of a string of HAMMER/20TH FOX FILMS which was not available to TV until the 80's.Sought after by many American Hammer fans, i caught it at reissue grind houses in cities like 42nd street , New York. What good news it was when finally this film and other Hammer Fox films got put into syndication in the mid 80's and got shown a bunch of times. This film also has gotten some cable exposure as well, Thanks to stations like TCM.

More obscure films to look out for in October on THIS NETWORK are, THE BIG CAPER-57- A crime film with RORY CALHOUN-, you want to find this on TV, you might have to look at a TV Guide from the 60's.TEENAGE MILLIONAIRE--61 with CHUBBY CHECKER-Some reason alot of these teenage oriented films of that era over the years have not gotten alot of TV exposure.Think about the last time you saw I WAS A TEENAGE WEREWOLF-57[MICHAEL LANDON] and I WAS A TEENAGE FRANKENSTEIN -57- on the tube[both big hits]- A long time ago indeed.-------- DEAD CERT-74-action crime film with Scott Anthony-Been obscure since the day they made it.

MYSTERY OF THE WAX MUSEUM-33-is often forgotten by many. that it was the first version of the classic HOUSE OF WAX with VINCENT PRICE. It was also the first color horror film ever made. There was a period in the 60's and early 70's some horror fans thought it was a lost film. But what a joy it was when stations like WPIX- TV IN NEW YORK showed it on their CHILLER THEATRE in the early 70's. Has been on once in a while on cable over the years.

MYSTERY OF THE WAX MUSEUM is included on the dvd release of HOUSE OF WAX- 1953 -
