I'd like to see another version of Jesus Christ Superstar. The original 1973 film has it's moments, but I definitely think it could be improved on. Certainly a better idea than a film version of CATS!
RED ZONE CUBA with George Clooney and Brad Pitt as the two ex-con buddies, John Goodman as the Coleman Francis fugitive. Johnny Depp as Cherokee Jack, and Clint Eastwood as Choo-Choo Charlie (John Carradine). Like Carradine, Clint will sing the opening credits song "Night Train to Mundo Fine."
I love historical war movies and a lot of them that was made before the age of CGI did a great job keeping with the facts but I always thought maybe a newer version of Battle of Britain. Not a Michael Bay "Pearl Harbor" movie either. Stick with the facts, bring in some CGI for effects and maybe keep the Ron Goodwin soundtrack or something similar? There are a lot of WW2 movies that need to be redone simply because Hollywood screws the facts up. I know sometimes the facts needs to be distorted to keep the attention but Tora, Tora, Tora works great the way they made it.
THE DAM BUSTERS is being redone. Perfect subject for a modern post- Official Secrets Act era. BOB? Not so sure DUNKIRK seems to be the best way to do it. After all there was no one " battle" in the BOB.
Btw there is no way a remake will retain the original score!
SUNSHINE (1999). Istvan Szabo's fascinating multigenerational saga of a Hungarian Jewish family tried to pack in more than was possible in 180 minutes. The story demanded the extended treatment of a miniseries.
Wait! What! Marshall is/was an actor? What was he in? This is all news to me.
Kevin, here's the thread where Marshall mentioned he was an actor. Link may or may not go to the right page, depending on your board settings. His post starts with: "Only a snarky troll would call this film - which had an important and timely message - a "Matthew Broderick vehicle"."
