Neo, there's something about the framing and editing of the famous "jump shot" in WAIT UNTIL DARK that make ME jump even after countless viewings.

... oui know what you mean, Vin and the intensity of its reciprocal power to shock is that - once you study the sequence - it's so damn SIMPLE in its theatrical staging and, especially, Gene Milford's exemplary editing.

Mr. Milford (1902-1991) had a long and illustrious career, having edited nearly a hundred mo'om pitchers, garnering Oscars for the original "Lost Horizon" and "On the Waterfront" (also collaborating on Mr. Kazan's "A Face in the Crowd".

Hell, he shoulda copped at least a nutritious Nomination just for THAT sequence alone ...
