Another Nimoy appearance that stuck with me, perhaps not the best Outer Limits episode of that season but still a good enough performance to save it:
That episode of the revived "Outer Limits" series happens to be a remake of a '64 "Outer Limits" episode also starring Nimoy. Coincidentally, one of the other performers in the original episode was Star Trek actress Marianna Hill, from "Dagger of the Mind."
Nimoy was directed in the remake by his son, Adam Nimoy.

Like all STAR TREK fans, I am really feeling this as something tangible. I honestly have not seen this much outpouring of emotion all over the face of this planet since Lucille Ball's death in 1989 and this is totally comparable if not more so now with the deluge of social media. This alone, shows all of us how universally loved Leonard Nimoy was as Spock and whether you were a fan of ST or not. Love him or not, there is no denying he was a huge star, but more importantly a wonderful human being.
God has him now, but thanks to film we shall have him forever. His legacy to 'Live Long and Prosper' will indeed outlive all of us and flourish for generations to come. What a great thing to know he left his mark on the world - how many people can say that?
Thanks Leonard for over 50 years of wonderful entertainment. By choosing the career path you did, you have given yourself a singular form of immortality that ensures that you (and your co-stars) will never be forgotten. And that's a pretty good epitaph for anybody.
As I read somewhere yesterday... someone find that Genesis planet!
First Spock line I thought of upon hearing of his passing was "I've been dead before" - it brought a tear to my eye but then made me smile. No doubt people are doing both all over the earth in his memory.

For me Leonard was Vulcan. What I mean by that is I always believed in his portrayal of the character. I've never seen another actor convincingly become Vulcan, only "Spock like". I've only seen other actors pretend to be Vulcan. I guess what I am saying is Leonard owned it.

Yeah, I was wondering about that. It seemed to happen when I posted after vinylscrubber, and my post looks like it's part of HIS post. After that, all posts have been shifted to a new "column" to the right. I thought maybe I was the only one getting it, but apparently not.
I'll just mention the episode of Columbo he was in: A Stitch in Crime, one of my favourites.
How could it not be? He was responsible for one of the few times Columbo actually lost his temper! (You can just picture DeForest Kelley watching at home, nodding and saying "I know how you feel, kid.")
And yes, vinylscrubber - PLEASE SORT THE POST OUT!

I guess it depends on your page settings. Page 3 is messed up but page 4 looks fine.

Yes, I was thinking of that scene too - where the Lt. uncharacteristically bangs on the desk.
