Out of interest TG, is Paddy Kenny still your No1 'keeper?

And what about Stephen Warnock and El 'Spitty' Diouf? Do they play regularly?

Kenny is still the Leeds number one. Not sure he's mine, though. Interestingly, our reserve keeper is called Jamie Ashdown. If they bumped hard enough into one another in training we'd have Paddy Ashdown in goal...

Warnock start all the games, and while I've been luke warm on him in the main, he had a good game against Bournemouth, bombing down the left wing like Ashley Cole heading for the bank on his lunch break.

Diouf had really redeemed himself in the eyes of the fans. There was a lot of trepidation when we signed him, much of it from me. However, he's behaved himself and gets much applause when he's warming up on the touchline. Which probably answers your other question. I don't know why we don't start with him; McDermott seems to prefer him as an "impact substitute" even though he scares the life out of Championship defenders when he does come on. I don't know if it's a fitness issue, or whether he has to spend the first half gargling.

The weekend ahead is one from hell.
The rubbish Hammers - together with their hopeless system of wingers and no strikers - travel across London to our most detested neighbours - tottscum. Whose b team just thrashed anzi moneybags.

Doesnt bode well. Delusional Hammers will talk up our chances saying we will battle for a hard fought 0-0.
Well they might get the 0 right because we have no chance of scoring beyond a deflected shot or a dodgy view-obscured penalty. Stats say we havent scored away for so many hundreds of minutes but it just feels like 3 seasons.

Tott however are likely to get at least 3. Could be a rout if heads drop. Get your bets on. wake me up wednesday when its all over and other games have taken place and insufferable tott fans have got bored crowing and moved on!

Tg - the predictable new manager win.
Always a bad time to play a team.

I know it. What's worse, local intelligence has it that McLaren, who hails from York, is a Leeds fan.

C'mon Bill--man up fer chrrissakes! Besides, if the Hammers steal one at Three Point Lane you will be have the "Who Dares Wins" honor of the week bestowed upon your side!

...and if your team do get hammered, then just enjoy the brilliance of Roy Budd. big grin

Week Seven October 5-6, 2013

Liverpool 3 Crystal Palace 1- Suarez and Sturridge continue to impress as a duo and Steven Gerard adds a cool penalty in the Reds' easy win at Anfield.

Tottenham 0 West Ham 3- The Hammers earn the "Who Dares Wins" award of the week as they thrash the Spurs at White Hart Lane, despite one Bill Carson's endless caterwauling that they wouldn't score a goal. wink West Ham's victory is their first at Tottenham since April 1999.

Play it loud, Bill!

English Championship

Derby 3 Leeds United 1- Leeds lose at Derby for the tenth consecutive time. Nothing to cheer about there but you have to admit that was a nice looking second goal on the back heel pass.

do wot?????

tott contact texted Ouch. checked on teletext. 0-3???? Where did that come from???!!!

match-fixing investigators were sent into overdrive last night as West Ham beat Tottenham 3 nil away in the freak result of the weekend which proves far east end money has invaded the prem.

Did you watch the match, Bill? Any thoughts? I wanted to but the...ahem...streaming service I use gave me West Brom-Arsenal instead. If the Baggies had held the lead and knocked off the Gunners, they still wouldn't have been the winners of the. who Dares Wins award because the Hammers won away, making it a greater feat.

Yes, I am all into this Who Dares Wins novelty. lol

never anything wrong with a bit of budd.

no i didnt wana go anywhere near the game live. Hopes were non existent.

saw highlights. allardyce outfoxed them a bit with a 5 man midfield and a striker who is a midfielder Diame.
however first goal was a corner and scramble, second goal was a rather fortuitous attempt by vaz te where his first shot saved by keeper ricocheted off his knee into the net. - probably the only way vaz te will score this season.
Final goal was a solo effort by the highly-rated but so far failed to show much Ravel Morrison.

Tott had chances but Hammers defended in numbers, keeper made good save from Defoe.

Sunderland sack excitable, domineering Latin manager Paolo de Canio, and replace him with, er, Gus Poyet.

These mackems, eh? Never learn...

My thoughts exactly Chris. Looks like some fun ahead for Sunderland.

I think I should go on holiday more often. Every time I go away, Liverpool get delusions of grandeur! Just wait til Suarez and Sturridge click and we get things sorted properly wink

Well done Bill on your boys giving Tottenham of Israel a sound beating. Isn't that Yiddish controversy a joke eh? Probably the most ridiculous football hoo-hah in quite some time.

yes kev, i wish id put it like that. wankers on bbc kept saying " The Y word" this and" the Y word" that. I laughed. Never heard so much bollocks in my life.

it really isnt funny how the pc hand wringing goes on and on relentlessly until eventually sane people agree to the madness and then the handwringers are happy and they move on to some other target.

Ive got a fkn word that offends me. The word is Beckham. Can people not say it or perhaps use the acceptable phrase the B Word.

I hadn't heard your score Bill (we flew in to Gatwick around 3 pm Sunday) but as we came through Kings Cross heading to our hotel for the night (mare before Elfman smile I knew something fun had happened cos I heard a crowd of 'ammers fans singing a Ravel Morrison song and thought 'aye up, looks like The Yiddish (copyright knob'ead hand-wringers) wink maybe took a beating!
At least that goal will have added 10 mill to RM's price-tag if you do move him on!
