Jim, you forgot your own boys' score...

Man Utd - 1 / Southampton - 1 wink

My laugh of the weekend was reading some wag on the web saying...'if Southampton expect to break into the European places, they will have to be beating those mid-table teams'

yes kev, we knew ewanited would lose their edge this season but no one could dream how shit they would be so far.
Sadly they will come good again, but now theyre talking top four rather than title certainties.
Plenty of sack moyes mancs on the radio phone ins.
The problem is the fear factor and the fact their squad has been a bit ordinary for two or three seasons before now.
Suddenly an improved arsenal, tottenham and Liverpool - even if they fade - has suddenly made the title race and champs league places a bit more interesting.

great result for tgs leeds. 4 0 in that league against anyone is brilliant.

saw your game kev and thomas - you were unlucky not to win by 5 or 6, even without them down to ten men.
Newcastle scored two spawny flukish goals but it was you who had chances.
Suarez was immense.

Liverpool probably did deserve to win Bill, but Newcastle battled well in the second half. We really should be beating teams with ten men though, showed up the limitations in our squad. Didn't play with enough width, and I couldn't understand Rodgers persevering with 3 centre backs. It's not a system I particularly like, seems like a waste of a body to me.

I'll be at my first game of the season this weekend at Anfield against West Brom. Don't expect us to pick up 3 points, I'm normally a bad omen when I go to gamesfrown

Little short of astounding - but I was obliged to spurn an opportunity to go to the game frown

Nice one about Southampton having to beat mid-table sides like Man U! We've been winding up our resident fan with talk of relegation battles...

WORLD CUP PLAY-OFF DRAW

Portugal v Sweden

Greece v Romania

Ukraine v France

Iceland v Croatia

The first leg of the ties will be played on 15 November with the second leg on 19 November.

So, one of The Zlatan or Ronaldo will not be entertaining us in Brazil!

That's a shame about Portugal-Sweden and to a lesser extent, Ukraine-France. Any one of those teams has the capability to upend any of the usual suspects like Spain, Germany, Brazil, et al. Nevertheless, I'm still looking forward to the playoffs.

You funny guy, you! While I appreciate you trying to "find me a team", you know I am officially a neutral here; I just don't irrationally hate Manchester United like everyone else who posts in this thread. If anything, I like Blackburn(!)

The world awaits with bated breath to see what revelations will be in old purple nose's book....not!! No doubt it will be full of his usual nastiness and vindictiveness. I wouldn't wipe my arse with itmad

You boys are like the Zimmer bashers with your constant squawking (ethnic wailing?) over Ferguson and Manchester United. Face it, they OWN you. big grin

Utter nonsense.

On a totally unrelated topic, have you seen what the drunken old fool has called his book? "My Autobiography" - as if it could be anyone else's.

Not at all. In fact, it's the dead-on truth. The fact that you go raging out of your mind and lose all sense of control whenever Ferguson or Manchester United gets discussed tells me that you cease to be rational, which surprises me given your usual even temper. If someone or something of such relative insignificance like a football manager and a team causes you to burn white-hot with rage, it OWNS you. It's one thing to "love to hate" in a good natured (but perhaps grudgingly respectful) way, but when you drool like Mr Hyde, it's time for a self evaluation.

Soooo...calm down old stick and just talk football.

always used to say it waz obvious fergie and beckhams relationship changed when he met the witch.
Aftr that Ferguson knew victoria beckham waz playing on the wing for united, not david.
She couldnt cross the road without doing it for effect, and he became the same.
Beckham waz always overrated anyway but Good to see Ferguson has alluded to the witchs influence.

Bosnitch doesnt sound too happy re fergies comments, altho lot of fans saying its bad timing and not in uniteds best interests and Ferguson bein selfish releasin book.

nice Torres goals. Terrible shame about arsenal. cruel. ha ha.

I have heard of this thing called "Humor." Well that's good news that Fergie doesn't pull your chain quite as hard as I thought. That *and* I get quickly dismissed for jury duty...what a day!

So am I supposed to be a Manchester United supporter? I was hoping to wear Chelsea blue like my heroes Frank Lampard and John Terry... wink I'm neutral, damn it!

How about Celtic knocking off a surprisingly flaccid Ajax? Strange how the three-times-running champions of Eredivisie are so pathetic in the CL.
