If Raquel does "Thunderball" though, she never does "Fantastic Voyage" and in turn never does "One Million Years B.C.", without which Raquel would never have risen to long-term iconic status.

Signing her for "Diamonds Are Forever" though, at the peak of her fame, would have given her the perfect Bond girl showcase role IMO.

Thanx for the upshot, Eric Old Son . Check out the, um, "Original" post. Better now? (And your concluding statement is equally unassailable) smile

As for ravishing Raquel:

we'd say Broccoli and Company kinda blew an opportunity not seen since mebbe the likes of Ursula, no? eek

Akiko Wakabayashi and Mie Hama in YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE

Oh yes - two of my favourites. My first Bond girls, I suppose, as YOLT was the first 007 film I ever saw, aged about 8.

Yes, just lovely....

Jill did fine in the role, but Tiffany Case would have been the perfect Bond girl role for Raquel to have played at that point in her career (and maybe she could have done that instead of some of the bad films she did).

Well, yes, but I will forgive Bruce his transgression and just furnish further proof of said transgression. wink

Y'know, it's a funny thing, Meester J, your "jusht" richly reminds us of how Seano's thick accent can sometimes render lines almost incomprehensible.

When we first were utterly enthralled with Twice, we thought he said

"I just might RETARDA here"! eek ...

And to expand the percolating purview of this stimulating thread, how’s about some of the sacrificial lamps who’ve graced and adorned the series, starting with – again from Twice – Germany’s kaptivatin’ Karin Dor.

“Oh, the things

I do

for England!”

Indeed. And definitely In Deed wink
