Speaking of topical, one of the players arrested for match fixing has vowed to clear his name before next Saturday's 2-0 home win.

Thats even funnier.

Pal of mine played in the 50s. Had a cup game and the keeper approached the opposition and got three of them to throw the match. Funniest thing was even with 3 nobbled players they still fkn lost 2-1!!!

A curious maths gaffe admitted by Pellegrini after City's win in Bavaria last night when City needed only one more goal to win the group.

“I was tempted if we scored the fourth goal [to make an attacking substitution] and that is why I sent Aguero to warm up,” said Pellegrini, unaware that a 4-2 win would have been enough to seal a seeding for City in the last 16 of the Champions League.

Be careful if you are driving past Old Trafford this week. A lot of people have picked up 3 points there recently..smile

Okay, getting worried about Everton now.
Beaten only once (and even that was only 3-1 at Man City, which these days is an amazing result). Playing with real swagger and lack of fear since Moyes left (in fact, all those Moyes stats and records are tumbling since he quit).
We really need 3 points at TOTT N' HAM tomorrow (without Sturridge and Gerrard).
Chelsea clinging on at home to Palace...they don't look all that so far this season (but they're up there grinding them out, I suppose).

Kev where ya bin?? We thought you had started watching darts or something??

Predictably my lot booed off the park. A point is really helpful when your on the edge of the bottom three - not!
According to radio and tv we were shocking. Sunderland playing like a team chasing europe!!

Arsenal result was funny. We said it would be an interesting few weeks for them.
We play them boxing day so they might need the points by then!

Leeds did alright!

Would imagine liverpool and Suarez will be too much fot Tott but tough one to call.Could go either way.

Spurs and Arsenal stuffed by teams who have a great chance of finishing above Man U and three points for the mighty whites away from home. Not a bad little weekend.

To keep Jim happy about my mental state, I have two burning ambitions for this season - Leeds to be promoted and Man U to finish out of the European places.

It was a joy to watch the Reds today! Best performance of the season.
I was a bit worried, being without Gerrard and Sturridge, but everyone stepped up to the plate, Suarez was his usual unplayable best (and skipper too) and Henderson was inspired (we could even afford to have Coutinho slightly below par).
We've still got two massive away games to come over Chrimbo (Chelsea and Man City), still without the above two players, but if we play like that, they'll at least know they've been in a game.
Good times!
And yeah...Where's Jim?

Hey Bill, Semi-Final of the League Cup and not a peep (although the League form needs a bolster, it's a good job the 3 below you can only match your results at best).
TG's Leeds healthy in the play-off positions (although a 0-0 with bottom-placed Barnsley today ain't the best but a point's a point).
My team sitting on top of the pile (at least til Monday night), Suarez payed up and unplayable and two massive games to come (Citeh and Chelski).
Jim completely AWOL!!?? Where Are Youuuuuuuuu??!!
I know Thomas will be drinking heartily tonight!! Tonight!! We Celebrate!! smile

Yeah kev anybrief moment of triumph at nicking the game off tottscum was swiftly taken by drawing not sundeand but bloody city!! Thanks for coming.
At least we get home leg payday. All helps.

Getting worried about jim? Is he posting elsewhere still??
Thought he might be on to crow about his united slaughter today. Hammers woeful.
Have a look at carlton coles goal - he runs like an old man with arthritis!!

Reciprocated - however, only a point today (a better one than Saturday's) but one more than 'pool...

We need five teams to stay ahead of the red mancs!

Yeah they are starting their expected drive to the top places.

Expected spanking from arsenal today and - as predicted weeks ago on this very thread - we are finally in the bottom three at last. Now no one at the club can pretend we aint in a severe crisis. One thing tohave no strikers but its the rest of the squad who are being exposed as being utter shit. We are weak in every position and they are getting worse.

Shame for liverpool, going 1 up.

And millwall sack their manager.
