Can't remember his Invaders episode, but he was always the guy to go to for the seemingly affable guy in the first reel who turns out to be the baddie in the last act.
He was the killer in the pilot episode of "Murder She Wrote" and then seven years later got to reprise the same role, paroled but innocent of the murder of the week.
Loved him in Harper with Paul Newman.
I've never seen an episode of Murder She Wrote 'cause I'm not much into Angela Lansbury, but I imagine there must have been countless great guest star performances. I really should check it out.
Quiller007, "Johnny Cool" was just released on an M.G.M. On Demand D.V.D.-R. (do you have this?)
No, I have it on my own homemade dvd-r recorded from TCM a few years ago. Thanks for the heads-up though. I'll eventually get around to buying the MGM disc.
Any Warner series announced seemingly gets announced right at the time of release. They have mentioned a lot of titles for potential release, but "Logan's Run" I think they're still waiting on to do as a tie-in to a film remake.

I believe that old excuse - "the film remake tie-in" - no longer stands. There have been quite a few old classic series that are finally getting released on their own, without the so-called benefit of a theatrical remake. For years, fans of IT TAKES A THIEF believed that Universal was holding off releasing the series because they were planning a remake with Will Smith. It never happened, thank god. I'm glad the big studios are finally waking up and just leasing out their back catalogs to smaller independant dvd labels instead. Since WB is releasing their own stuff on dvd-r, it's a good chance LOGAN will eventually released - without a film tie-in. They just released MAN FROM ATLANTIS, and there's no remake in sight.
The Girl From UNCLE, coming to DVD next week. Thank you Warner Archive for taking care of my two biggest 60s Grail titles! (the complete series in two parts is being released at once)

I would have preferred George Clooney instead of Will Smith.
Warner is clearly going to be rolling out a lot of titles. The only question at this point is how long will waits between seasons for multi-season titles be?

If we base it on the wait between Parts 1 & 2 of Season One of "The F.B.I," the wait will be 2 months. If we base it on the wait between Seasons 1 & 2 of "Cheyenne," the wait will be 5 years.

Neither example is valid. I'm talking about the release between a first season by Warner Archive before a second season from Warner Archive comes, and we've yet to see a signle instance of that. "Cheyenne" S1 was not released as part of a Warner Archive program but as a regular Warner retail release.
Looking forward to seeing at last a good quality version of the episode "Flight To Harbin" with Arthur Hill as an airline hijacker and Jessica Walter and Nancy Kovack amongst the flight crew!
Eric, do you think that future D.V.D.s of seasons of "The F.B.I." will include the "Most Wanted Criminals" segments?
