YAAAAY!!! It's about time.

So much for Eric's claims about sales figures being irrelevant
to the Warner Archive. If you read the article carefully they state:
"If sales are good for season one, WB will release season two." smile

There's also "The Felony Squad" which may be part of that M.O.D. program that 20th Century-Fox is launching. And since Time Warner owns the Talent Associates library, why don't they put "East Side, West Side" and "N.Y.P.D." out as part of the Warner Archive Collection?

The Fugitive - 'The Complete Series: The Most-Wanted Edition' is Back on the Schedule!

33-disc gift set with bonus soundtrack included will be available in late OctoberPosted by David Lambert
7/24/2012

Dr. Richard Kimble (David Janssen), wrongly accused of murdering his wife, escapes custody while en route to Death Row and must elude police and Lt. Philip Gerard (Barry Morse), who is obsessed with his capture. Kimble must constantly relocate and change his name while he continues his quest to find the real killer, a one-armed man (Bill Raisch) he saw leave the scene of the crime.

The critically acclaimed classic TV suspense drama, The Fugitive, is now available in a complete series box set! Includes all 4 seasons and a bonus disc, 33 discs housed in a collectible package. Bonus disc is loaded with exclusive content plus an audio soundtrack CD of composer Pete Rugolo's score from the series. TV Guide, in a 1993 ranking, named The Fugitive the best dramatic series of the 1960s. Nominated for 5 Emmy Awards including Outstanding Continued Performance by an Actor in a Series (Lead) David Janssen (1964, 1966, 1967). Narrated by acclaimed actor William Conrad; Executive producer Quinn Martin (The Streets of San Francisco, The Untouchables).
Late last year CBS/Paramount had been planning a November 1st release of The Fugitive - The Complete Series: The Most-Wanted Edition on DVD. Then, at the last minute, the studio recalled the title "because it was inadvertently manufactured with discs that have potential technical issues." After a long delay, those issues have apparently been resolved, because now CBS DVD and Paramount Home Entertainment have announced a new street date for this 33-disc set: October 23rd.

It's nice to see this back on the schedule at last. As of this writing, the studio hasn't revealed there to be any differences between this version, and what was previously announced on last year's press release. If there DO turn out to be any differences between that version and this version, we hope to have information for you about such changes soon. Hopefully Amazon.com will also put this back up for pre-order very quickly, too! Stay tuned.

The differences are this: All of the original music has been removed, including
all of the new music composed by Mark Heyes. In other words, there will be
NO music on this FUGITIVE set at all. big grin

After releasing The Complete Series on DVD this past November, eOne Entertainment has decided to go back and put out individual season sets for fans who would rather purchase the show in smaller (more affordable) bites. So, in an early alert to retailers, we've learned that on October 2nd the studio is releasing It Takes a Thief - The Complete 1st Season. The 5-DVD set will cost $39.98 SRP, and an early (and low-resolution; sorry!) look at the front box art can be seen below. No word yet on plans for individual releases of the 2nd and 3rd seasons, but stay tuned!

And CBS/Paramount fast-tracks "Streets Of San Francisco" to completion! S3 came out just a month ago, S4 comes out at the end of this month and now the final season with Richard Hatch replacing Michael Douglas comes in October.

I have never seen them move this fast with one title. Let's hope it's a sign that they'll get back to and move quickly on their other stalled QM titles, "Barnaby Jones" and "Cannon" (the former in particular which has the worst representation on DVD of a title with one release at one half season of a seven and a half season run!)

The is the greatest news of 2012 in my opinion: it's almost a miracle.
Let's hope C/P will move the wagon of RAWHIDE to get season 7 and 8 fast enough.

Well, just like that "Cannon" is unstalled!

The first two seasons were not remastered so let's hope they do otherwise this time.

Let's hope C/P will release "Longstreet" (1971), including the ABC Movie of the Week.

While this title has been announced as an eventual Warner Archive release for more than a year now, it's nice to see it finally made it to DVD!

McMillan and Wife complete series box set due out Oct 23, with the Snoop Sisters included as a bonus.

That announcement does nothing for those like me who bought the individual season releases as well as the separate release of Snoop Sisters. No way would I pay in excess of $100 just to have Season 1 on single-sided discs.

Agreed. Although I haven't bought SNOOP SISTERS yet, I'm not double-dipping on
Mac and Sally. Besides, my 1st season set of M & W plays just fine. I never had a
problem with double-sided discs.

Great news about Mannix. Just ordered season seven today. Now that it's wrapping up, I'm going to miss that plaid-jacketed SOB. wink
