Just a quick reminder...mark your calendars...

1 MONTH from today is Friday, May 13th.

Kessler, brush up on your quotes. Mitchell, is the party at your place again this year?

Prep your DVDs for a marathon, sharpen your machete, pray for a Manfredini release, find your corkscrew, spread the word to your friends (preferably someone named Ted, Ned, or Terry), make sure the generator's working, don't eat those enchiladas, hold onto your American Express cards, bring your nipple clamps, keep your pearls away from telekinetics, say "please" when asking someone to return your wallet, see if Marcie left some grass, wear your Statue of Liberty necklace, no seconds on dessert for Jeff and Sandra, keep your candy bars away from Vic, don't forget Michael's birthday party, and in case you didn't know...

Jason's body has disappeared from the morgue. It was not stolen. Two people at the hospital are missing. Is this coincidence? He's alive.

Why don't you run that through your little computer?

wink

Whoa-ho-ho!!!

Looks like you might have some Quote Quiz competition, David Kessler! Redokt64, scroll through this thread to see previous quote tests administered by me, solved admirably by David Kessler, and realize what you're up against in one month's time! I will be putting forth all new quotes and I'd love to see your talent...or there doesn't need to be any competition and we can just have fun with it.

Also from the Final Chapter (not)... said by E. Erich Anderson to the lovely Kimberly Beck near the finale of the movie. BTW, my favorite of the sequels along with Part 7 with the very hot Lar Park Lincoln. smile

My youngest grandaughter turned 4 today. If you back track you will discover a Friday the 13th baby. I was told she cried this morning because she still wanted to be 3 1/2 but after looking in the mirror found out she didn't look that much different now that she is 4 so it's okay after all. Women!

I really love E. Erich Anderson's role as the dad on Felicity...he's really, really good and a fine actor. Every time I watch that show I think of Rob..."he's killing me! he's killing me!"/"Felicity! Felicity!"

Trivia...Lar Park Lincoln and Kevin Spirtas (Nick) from The New Blood apparently hated each other. Which is funny, because I always thought they had adorable chemistry in the film.

Mutant:

Does the guy that runs the Fright Stuff site sell/make Jason X "UberJason" masks? Although I much prefer the original films' hockey masks, I do think it would be cool to have that futuristic chrome piece.

Yep! Here's a Jason X mask produced and painted by Auzorann. I get all my stuff from him. He is hands-down the best guy to buy Hocks from.

I believe they sell for about $170.00

Mr. Anderson, years ago also had a role on DALLAS as Jack Scalia's brother. Also of note, director Joe Zito featured him in two movies in 1984... Of course, The Final Chapter... and, a little movie called MISSING IN ACTION. Look closely at the opening of the movie.

The chemistry between Lincoln and Spirtas, I too thought was really cute. Susan Jennifer Sullivan was great in the bitch role of Melissa.

Trivia... What do Betsy Palmer and Lar Park Lincoln have in common, besides being involved with Friday the 13th?

Considering I've read the 310-page Crystal Lake Memories book, I should know this...but I don't.

Correct. Betsy Palmer played Valene's (Joan Van Ark) crazy aunt. And, Lar Park Lincoln played Karen's (Michelle Lee) sneaky and vicious daughter in law. Not sure if it was a in joke to Lincoln being in a slasher pic, but her character ended up having her throat slashed.

I'm sure that was more gruesome than any of the lamentably watered-down violence in The New Blood...

Her death was actually kind of shocking. Her character, Linda, was giving Nicolette Sheridan a run for her money in being devious on the show. She was on KNOTS for a couple of years.
Yes, The New Blood violence was really toned down... A shame. There were several great setups to the various victims and their fate.

In the book Crystal Lake Memories there are lots of great color pictures of the gore that the hardworking f/x and makeup people worked so hard on...at least it made it in the book, if not in the film. Still impatiently waiting a director's cut of that one...not to mention a few other director's cut Fridays...The New Blood is one of the sequels I have a soft spot for because it's the first one I ever saw and scared the shit out of me when I was a little boy. Even though now my favorite is Friday the 13th Part 2, I still love part 7 for it's relentless dark, gloomy, humorless atmosphere and tone. I've sure I've mentioned these things elsewhere in this thread, but who cares...I could talk about this stuff ad nauseum, and don't think I won't! Glad to have a new Jasonhead to the thread!
