This one deserves it's own thread.

Over at the Intrada forum, Roger has announced that this score is being released as part of next Tuesday's batch.

Finally the original film tracks!!!

Fantastic song, of course, but also some wonderful dramatic scoring.

Thanks for this one, Intrada.

So we can finally eliminate this as a possibility for LLL's eight disc set!

Also, what a surprise, and great news!

How significant are the differences between the film tracks and the re-recording?

Chris.

The rerecording has practically no underscore. It's all source music (including music that's not even in the film). The rerecording is a great album, but I want to hear the music I heard in the film.

It's going to be hard to resist this one! So I hope Intrada does their usual good job with it! (I'm listening to the original soundtrack right now!)

I am confused, why would you need to hope? This is Intrada.

My suggestions for future Mancini releases:

A long-awaited classic! The original RCA recording was my second or third soundtrack album ever purchased years ago. It will be a delight to finally have the original tracks. Definitely going to be ordered!

Two For The Road would also be wonderful. Hopefully a copy of the tapes has been found.

Hank said his biggest mistake about the Original Score Soundtrack..was NOT placing the song that Audrey Hepburn sang in the movie! She did a great job singing Moon River.
