THE YOUNG SAVAGES is awesome, especially the striking first sequence, and I hope it's the combo score + album.

What's the music like for Transformers? Never saw the movie. Ive only seen some clips and it appears to be heavy metal.

We already had a thread on it as news it was going to be released leaked three months ago:

As a long time fan of TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE, I am curious about Intrada's presentation. I have the original LP, the expanded 20th anniversary edition with new score suites and the full score version from '97, released only at conventions. That latter version, however, didn't include the score tracks on the original LP, so it wasn't really quite complete. And I wonder, if any of the songs or demos will be included. Very intrigued!

Thanks. Not really my thing based on those samples, but happy to see another animation score released for their fans.

From the cover they posted, it looks like the album version.

There was in fact a later release in 2001 which DID include the three score tracks from the original album, but not the Legacy track, which was instead on a different CD that included some other demos/ideas along with (IIRC) audio of DiCola talking about them, or something.

I'm assuming this will simply be the full score, no songs.

Yes but they also posted the cover of the SEBASTIAN album...and yet we got also the score.
So I secretly hope that's the case for this one either ! wink
