The upcoming superman/batman movie has the same poster artwork:

Is it possible they've acquired the rights already?

2015's superman/batman movie has the same poster artwork:

They also posted "1-28-14," so it's something coming at the end of the month.

The above logo is actually from the Superman/Batman comic book series that ran from 2003-2011.

They're probably just hinting at Volume 3 of Batman: The Animated Series and Volume 1 of Superman: The Animated Series. Which, if true, means they've adjusted their plans a little, because previously MV suggested that Superman music wouldn't be coming along until they were all done with Batman first.

LLL can't ever be DONE with Batman until Batman And Robin complete score gets released!

That would be incredible if both arrived on 1/28/14. Maybe with the recent success of Superman Returns, there's no time like the present for Superman: The Animated Series. And remember, there was that news about Kristopher Carter having signed off on two projects not long ago.

If we are getting both Batman: TAS Vol 3 and Superman: TAS Vol 1 this month, La La has already won 2014, IMHO!

B:TAS V.3 and S:TAS would be incredible.

I doubt that La La would post this for that. People get way more excited for Shirley's earlier Batman and Superman scores, so it has to be related to that. The Superman logo they used is direct from the animated series.

I imagine if that were true they would just re-use the original released logo Warner did, but they didn't.

As posted above, it's the logo from the Superman/Batman comic-book series.

From looking at all the DCU Animated Original Movies the soundtrack release history goes like this.

1-5 LLL
6-8 Warners/Watertower
9-14 Unreleased
15-17 Watertower
18 LLL

Film 9 is Superman/Batman: Apocalypse.

I agree that the Batman title is likely TAS:V3, unless they somehow managed to get ahold of one of the remaining feature film titles, but I'm not convinced about Superman. I'm not convinced you'd see two high profile animated releases on the same day. What about a re-release of Superman: The Movie? Many people love the first score, but don't want the full FSM boxset... this might also tie into the clue that there was an upcoming LLL John Williams title.

Chris.

It could wind up being the Superman: The Animated Series set and that it includes music from the 3-part "World's Finest" episode that included Batman (as well as Joker).

Like B:TAS Vol. 1 and Vol. 2? wink

I know, I know...Vol. 1 was essentially a reissue, and you could argue that anyone buying B:TAS Vol. 1 would be just as eager to buy B:TAS Vol. 2 so the two releases wouldn't compete with each other. But then, wouldn't the same hold true for B:TAS Vol. 3 and S:TAS Vol. 1?

Whatever it ends up being, that logo has got me excited.

If it is B:TAS and S:TAS coming out on the 28th, the rest of the year has a lot to live up to.

Rule out Batman TAS for now. Kris Carter told me so on Twitter.

From the Facebook page of the DC Animation website World's Finest:

"Big news from La-La Land Records (https://www.facebook.com/lalalandrecords) tomorrow morning, and it'll be revealed first exclusively on The World's Finest. You do not want to miss this..."

Kris mentioned he is signing covers too. He did 12 episodes from Superman TAS and since Batman did appear on the show like someone else said, I'm leaning towards it being that. Superman, finally!
